Fall of a Nation
By American_Infidel

Morning. Cold, dark morning. In fact, this morning was so bitterly cold, it stung the nose of the young American officer. The young man sat quietly on a small wooden box, his eyes blindfolded, hands tied behind his back. Though his eyes were covered, he could tell the sun had just risen; he could see the light through the tattered rag tied to his head. Soon, he knew, there would be footsteps heading his way, and the jangle of 7.62 rounds being loaded into the well-known Samozariadniya karabina sistemy Simonova, or SKS.
As he had predicted, the men had come, and dragged him out of the 6-foot hole he was in, and tied him to a post.

“You don’t want to do this. My government won’t stand for this; you’ll start a war!”

A voice, distinctly British, spoke up

“And if your government doesn’t know you’re here?”

The soldier thought for a moment.

“And if they do, is the true question, I believe”

This smart remark was met with the hard butt of an SKS. It had been a long time since he had tasted his own blood, and he spit it out.

“You stupid bastards… you don’t know what you’re doing”

A report broke the morning silence, and the officer slumped to the ground.

“Soon it will not matter that your military was once the greatest, soon it will not matter if you are American. Soon, A Higher Order shall reign”

Well, this is just a preview, feel free to criteque it to your hearts content ;)

FALL OF A NATION- CHAPTER ONE
OPERATION: HORNETS NEST
USS HARRY S. TRUMAN
MARCH 15, 2015

As the Truman plowed through the Atlantic, a crisp wind filled the air- permeated by the stench of the ocean. Captain Greg Johnston stood on the flight deck, eager to go inside and have a nice long nap. He longed to be home, and he remembered his childhood. He had been in New York on the day of the tragedy 14 years ago, He remembered the planes smashing into the buildings as if it were happening again right in front of him. He also remembered the vow he made to avenge his country for that terrible day, he figured joining the US Navy might have the effect, and he became a fighter pilot- one of the best in the Navy. After the Afghanistan, Iraqi, Serian, and Palestinian campaigns, President Dick Cheney had declared an end to combat, and the troops came home. It has been 7 years since that day.

“Johnston… JOHNSTON!”

The captain promptly jumped out of his daydream and to his feet. He looked around and finally caught sight of the flight deck crew chief.

Well... this is all I got done, but I only had 15 minutes, so I might update it tonight too :)
