Here's something I thought would be fun.
Basically, the idea is to try to reinvent another players character. By this I mean that, if you were creating the charcter yourself, how would you tackle it.
So, how do you go about this task? Simple really. Pick any character in the RPG, and think 'How would I have done this'. It could be changing one or two details to your own liking, it could be picking up on one concept of the character and stressing that more than any other, or it could be a complete rewrite with only slight simularities between your character and the original.
I'd just like to stress, this has nothing to do with the quality of the original character. This is purely a reivention to your own style and ideas.
So, in case that wasn't clear enough, I knocked up a little example for you! :D
Here's the Aies take on that CKW classic, The Stapler!
Real Name: John Brown.
Alias: The Stapler
Appearance: John Brown is a balding, middle aged chap with a spare tire and thick framed glasses that have a habit of slipping down his nose. Favouring a striped shirt, matching tie and charcoal grey trousers, often stained with tea.
As The Stapler however, it's a very different matter. He clamours inside a gigantic blue battle suit, with a tinted black visor covering himself. The suit has fully operational limbs, the arms sporting two massive Staple Cannons on the underside.
Background: Mild mannered John Brown was an accountant for CKW Enterprises. The gruelling company policy, strenuous work hours and out of order water coolers drove him ever closer to the edge, until one fateful day, a young intern knocked a scolding cup of coffee in his lap, and mild manner John Brown SNAPPED!
Storming out the office and resigning on the spot (but not before telling them where to stick their thirty-day notice), he knew that he had a new purpose in life. So, it was outside the oppressive doors of the CKW offices that John made a solemn vow! He swore on his own life, and the lives of all the oppressed office workers across Neo-England that he, and he alone, would topple the tyrannical hierarchy of corporation and industry once and for all!
Dedicating the next few months of his life, and most of his life savings, to this cause, he locked himself in his basement. Working tirelessly for days and nights, he eventually emerged. However, this man was no longer John Brown!
Riding in an almost impenetrable battle suit, with two gattling-gun style staple cannons strapped to either arm, THE STAPLER was born! Stomping across the land, he laid an impressive siege to CKW Enterprises Head Quarters. Until, in an ironic twist, the stationary armed madman was disarmed by the valiant efforts of the SECRET RESERVE, the very embodiment of all he hated. Facing a lengthy stretch behind bars, the mentally fragile John Brown was given a choice. He could either become part of Wescorp's prestigious super human organisation, or rot behind bars doing 25 to life.
He chose Wescorp. Working in Wescorp offices by day and as a reluctant member of the SSR by night, he watches and waits. Awaiting the day when THE STAPLER, in all his glory, will rise again! And next time, the world of industry will quiver at his feet!
Advantages: The Stapler is highly formidable in his suit, almost unmoveable. He also has strength and fire power only matched by his sheer determination and unbreakable willpower!
Disadvantages: The suit is also unwieldy at the best of times, excruciatingly slow to turn. It also won't be able to fit in many tight spaces, or even average sized rooms, making it highly impractical indoors. Although, having been built as an assault weapon, this hadn't been thought about in planning. Also if the suit is breached, there's only an average, middle-aged man inside, who is incredibly vulnerable.
Gear: His Battlesuit, complete with two high-powered staple cannons able to fire hundreds of staples per a minute.

Just to note, this doesn't have to be done in a profile form. You can just write the background and powers, or you can just write a paragraph explaining your ideas. I don't mind how you do it, just get cracking and more importantly, have fun! :D
