This is the planning thread for matters that concern the Dead Stars RPG as it's running (not background or character design). Complaints, death threats, etc go in here, as well as any questions about unexplained bits of the plot or background that doesn't and the like. You know the drill, and if you don't, it's pretty simple to pick up.

justa let you guys know... I'm having a bit of difficulty with getting online. Reason being? I pissed off my parents again with my recent progress reports (That, and unsanctioned internet usage while I was banned on the weekdays), so my computer's now downstairs, plugged in, powered up, and internet-less. Hopefully sometime this week or next week, me and my dad'll find time to lay some wiring and get my internet access back.

In the meantime, I'll be using both the school's computers (for the next 2 days... boo exams :o ) and my mum's laptop.

Umm no... what bothers me about bmp is that that small banner-sized pic is 1/4th of a megabyte.

And you seem to have no idea what 'avi' is... the extension 'avi' is a generalisation of a few hundred different video codecs. Download an avi and it can be any existing video compression type :p

Probably actually neither. It certainly isn't 2H anyway; it's only called Deut[er/ron]ium because CKW called the fuel that at some point and it stuck. Maybe it should be canonically Deutronium so it definately isn't 2H.

Well, certainly if i posted Deutronium, it was due to VO's confusing speeches:P. So what do we assume it's the canon from now on? Deuterium (fussion prime matter) or Deutronium( invented stuff?)

Right ho guys,

I dunno guys, but DS doesn't seem to be going that well for me. Posts aren't coming quite as thick and fast as I'd anticipated, and probably partly because I have no fecking idea what to do with the plot, posts aren't exactly coming thick and fast from anyone. Obviously you guys have put quite a bit of time and effort into this, but seeing as SW wants to run a RPG, what would you guys say to a hiatus on DS for a bit? It would come back eventually, but maybe a rebooted WOC would come first or something. We'd decide that at the time.

Give me your thoughts on how you think DS is going. We'll carry on if you guys want to, but I don't want to be leading all the characters around by the nose.

Well, I wouldn't want to contribute to its downfall. I quite like it. But, I have to agree, we don't really know where we're going (At least, I don't know where I want to take my characters.) It's not out of a want for people to join my two new RPGs (Wow...I am greedy.) that I agree with Voes. A hiatus, at least until the majority of us are able to formalise some plans. Sorry.

well, I made a couple of bad decisions which have messed up the plot in my head so I've spent the last few weeks trying to figure out a better general flow. Don't apologise, tis mainly my fault. :p

I'd only say there's a really confusing erratism in the whole DS. Setting is nice, but relying on just casual encounters to make characters meet theirselves makes the players do GM- sabotage and go against the flow of the story (many times unknowingly). Other reasons wich might include are the fact that DS started to lose steady posters soon (bloody exams, oh how i despise thee!!!). There's also the approximated statistic wich i've gathered that about 8 out of 10 times (duh, rough stimation) an RPG falls apart.
