If you're gonna drink at an early age, make sure you know what you're doing. Alcohol poisoning is a serious thing, and getting your stomach pumped s no fun. Trust me, I know. Had it happen to me last month, too many mixed drinks, and boy does it suck. Make sure you have people around that aren't drinking and can take care of you like I did. If they hadn't been there.....

I escaped helping set up by saying I had to "ir al bano". No one knows what that means in my family, but it means "go to the bathroom" :p

What's worse is my saturday night is ruined because I have to get up in a tux and walk around with cocktails and crap. But I had a great friday night so I suppose it evens out :p

I'm no longer tipsy but I had the biggest weekend ever!

Started drinking at 2 p.m. Saturday and finished at 6 a.m Sunday. I'll save everyone the details but lets just say I had a good time. Wish we could have a den party.

Rikodeine cough medicine followed by half a bottle of tequila worked a treat on the weekend. The warning on the bottle read: "This medicine may cause drowsiness and may increase the effects of alcohol. If affected, dno not drive a motor vehicle or operate machinery." Yes, it got me very drunk. Mind, before I'm pounced on for loading up on cough medicine I might like to add that I actually do have a cough. I haven't been able to shake the bastard for a number of weeks now, as a matter of fact. The fact that it made my night that little bit more of a daze was a happy accident.

Another cause to celebrate is that today is "beer day" in Iceland! This is a very informal "holiday", which is basically about drinking. You see, although prohibition was lifted a long time ago in Iceland, beer for some strange reason (I could go into it, but it's a long story :p) was illegal - until this day (or yesterday, actually, as it's past midnight!) nineteen years ago. For that reason, most bars have a discount on beer this evening. I used that. Wonder how it'll be next year - 20 is bigger than 19!
