This is the character thread for Sundered Earth. Simply post your character here, and I'll see if it's eligible. Disregard the whole PMing thing. Unlike my other RPGs, I'll not be using a GMPC this time. I'll merely find other ways to cruely manipulate you. Mwahahahaha, etc.
Owner: Your name
Name: Your character's name
Race: Most heroes would be human, particular those fighting for the Order of the Sun. Do not let that limit you, though.
Gender: Keep in mind that the Order does not employ many women in battlefield roles.
Age: Everyone is to be over twenty. Generally not a regular occurrence in these RPing circles, but just thought I'd mention it.
Allegiance: Ertz or Tirnan
Appearance: Your character's looks, armour, even their weaponry if it is particularly stylised.
Battlefield role: Frontline soldier, cavalry, berserker, etc.
Weapon(s) of preference: Your character's first choice of weapon.
Magic: If your character can use magic, detail what kind and to what extent.
History: You character's background.
Owner: El CKW
Name: Chaos Shade Thaine(real name)/William Thain (assumed name)
Race: Pit Fiend, Demon.
Gender: Demons are genderless. However, most of them have an assumed gender for simplicity. Thaine assumes himself as male and thus prefers a male form.
Age: Roughly 500 years old.
Allegiance:Ertz.
Appearance: It's a tricky one, since demons can assume whatever form they want. Thaine has a favored form, though. The form known as William Thain is of a young, comely man in its twenties, with raven hair and pitch black eyes, his body toned with great appeal, that along his mellow, alluring deep voice, charms the ladies away in their dark desires. Although a demon, Thaine knows the importance of physical weapons and thus he usually wears a masterworks longsword, carved with mysterious runes, and a featureless, blackened metal halfplate.
Battlefield role: Black Operations - Spy.
Weapons of Preference: He is fond of swordplaying, as it just looks cool, but he's deadly with the crossbow aswell.
Magic: As a Pit being, Thaine has more abyssal magic than most mortals can dream of. He can swathe areas in darkness, wich seems to obey his command, and play with the unlife, creating and controlling as if it was a grotesque toy of his. This great power comes with a price though. Using it means revealing his dark nature wich not many would be comfortable with, as well as sometimes getting vicious and cruel like his kin.
History :Tales are told about Chaos Shade Thaine. Once the right hand of Dark Forge Gargamoth, wich he had much to do with Thaine's birth, the combined action of both set up new records for evil of the Pit. Thaine's origin in itself is exceptional, as he was created as a reaction of a pure newborn soul cast in the Pit and becoming tainted by Gargamoth's sole desire. Alas, as the couple grew in prowess and fame, so did the envy of both... Until, someday, it backfired. Several demon lords of the ranks of Gargamoth banquished the Dark Forge as an attempt to gain theirselves the glory of being stronger than the later. Thaine was supposed to be executed as well, but he escaped, and sought shelter in the human world, under the guise of William Thain.
William Thain settled down in the savannah country of Ertz, stablishing a business wich would grow to be the scourge of the righteous: a brothel, in wich he did what he enjoyed most, crushing someone's morale to low instincts, and get paid for it.Things were going smooth, Thaine's new position allowed him to do a little healthy mischief, nothing too big, but not too petty to maintain the balance of light and darkness that life should have.
However, nothing is eternal, and with the new war outbreak, his little business was going to be compromised sooner or later. Taking a daring decision, William Thain rose in arms to fight the war, before the war found him in its home, unable to react in time to save his interests.
And why not, he could do some major mischief for a change... Existance was growing boring.

Just thought you guys might like to know something about your soon-to-be opponent. Stuff in red is what your character knows. Other stuff is merely fluff.
Owner: SW Freak
Name: Irridan, The Defiler
Race: While he appears as a human as we know them, Irridan has long since forsaken his humanity. Now he is something more.
Gender: Male
Age: Several centuries, but since reports vary so much no one believes him to be older than 60 years, a venerable age in itself. Other figures in Nekrosis' tortured history that match his description and modus opperandi are written off as coincidence.
Allegiance: None. Irridan works only to further himself.
Appearance: Irridan is a giant man, standing easily ten feet, with broad shoulders and knotted muscles. Despite his hulking appearance, his hair and beard are finely groomed, and he himself is dressed only in the finest of robes at all times. The air around him, when he is casting at his finest, crackles and glows with an unholy aura.
Battlefield role: Warmage/Necromancer
Weapon(s) of preference: His staff of power, made of pure jet black obsidian.
Magic: Abyssal Magic: Irridan has more dark magic tucked away in his blackened heart than some demons achieve in a millennia. Some say that he can steal the very breath from a man’s chest.
History: I’d much rather this be a happy surprise, boys and girls. As/if you learn more, I’ll fill it in here.
I have a character coming for this. I can't remember where I saved his half-done profile, though... :p

Owner:Anonomuss
Name:John D'arnis
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Allegiance: East
Role: Scout
Preferred weapons: Longsword, Longbow, and a knife.
Appearance: Brown hair, grey eyes. About 5' 11'', wears studded leather armour most of the time although he wears Splint mail on occasion, if he expects the fighting to be fierce. He has the mark of the Order of the Sun engraved on his pauldrons and on the buckler he carries on his back.
Magic: Wild magic, has complete control over wind.
History: He was born a farmers son. His father noticed John's affinity with the land around them at an early age. His father simply mistook it for natural talent. He lived peacefully until he was fourteen. A party of knights of the Order of the Sun, came recruiting one day. John was passed over because he was too old but fortunately as he began to storm out of town a gale force wind rose up about him and blew many of the doors of the village. A monk recoignised the wild magic in him and he was accepted to the order. He was trained over many years before being commissioned to guard tirnans border. He proved his worth as a ranger, as he was of a lighter build than many and his developed magic allowed his arrows to fly straight and true. He repell a large force of Ertz soldiers, with use of guerrilla warfare. This deed led to him being summoned to the high kings keep.

Name: Azdae Azane (also known as The Scorpion)
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Thirty Two
Allegiance: Tirnan (although as a mercenary, I can put him on the other side if necessary)
Appearance: Azdae is a tall man of regal standing. His skin is dark and his eyes the colour of copper, his hair long, braided, and tied with materials of many colours He dresses in the garb of his homeland when possible - scaled or feathered cloaks (as there are no native mammals on the islands that make up Luxa), although he has grudgingly accepted a light mail tunic and a woolen vest in the cold of the north.
Battlefield role: Skirmisher
Weapon(s) of preference: (Poisoned*) Spear
Magic: As befits a Prince of the Golden Dawn, once able to afford the best attendants and treatments with all the riches of the Peacock Throne behind him, Azdae’s skin is covered in a myriad of swirling purple tattoos, each one seemingly a unique combination of slick curves and whirlpools of ink. These shapes perform a similar function to Kanji magic, allow Azdae some degree of protection from many things, ranging from curses to stray arrows. When the magic is activated, the tattoos burn white hot for a brief moment, causing Azdae harm, although nothing on the scale of being hit by whatever was threatening him.
History:
Far to the south of Dolmene lies Luxa, an archipelago known the Isles of The Golden Dawn, where the men are bronzed, the women are wanton, and where strange birds prowl in the twilight beneath the high tropical canopy. Here geckos scramble up tree-trunks slick with sap to feast on strange and bountiful fruits. The people of the Isles are dusky-skinned, with copper-coloured eyes and an aptitude for dyes and poisons. Their cogs travel the many oceans and are common in ports even as far north as Equiro, trading spices, skins, and the scores of beautiful, exotic harlots for the more discerning customer in brothels across the world.
Azdae Azane was the second son of Princepar Axaletor, the lord of the isles. He surpassed his older brother Azdar both physically and mentally, winning the ceremonial games, the admiration of the people of the Isles, and the favour of the many beautiful young ladies at court. Unfortunately, Azdae lacked the one thing he needed – legitimacy for the Peacock Throne of Luxa.
When Axaletor died, while engaged in coitus with a beautiful concubine, Azdar was set to ascend to the throne. Azdae rose up in rebellion, expecting his people to rise with him and overthrow his brother, placing the stronger ruler on the throne. They didn’t, and as the Eunuch Council of the Peacock Throne decreed, Azdae was sent into exile with his few key supporters, all forbidden to set foot on the Isles of the Golden Dawn again.
Azdae sailed north, across the ocean until he and his people finally reached Dolmene. He was granted an audience with Allar, the High King of Equiro, but his request for troops to reconquer his homeland fell on dead ears. However, after the Audience, Wallace took him to one side and told him of his plans, promising military help once his war was one to take the Golden Morning in Azdae’s name. Now Azdae, and his Scorpion Spears, as the exiles have come to be known, march alongside spellswords and easterners in Wallace’s vanguard. In battle, they take down men of the west with poisoned blades, fighting as skirmishers who seem to be able to find the chink in any armour. Azdae himself has earned renown as the taker of the heads of seven western lords in battle, and has developed a reputation for himself as Wallace’s mercenary southern Prince.
*As Luxan noble, Azdae has been subjected to a harsh regime of poisons for all his life. As such, he has developed an immunity to all but the most potent venom.

Okay, looks good, you two. Tirnan is fine, VO. Azdae will not be allowed have his soldiers accompany him, though I'm sure you knew.
Still waiting for three Ertz and two Tirs.
I have a character idea, SW... Which I'll run past you asasasap!
