Gotta love this Announcement spam, but come on! This is important! I'm back! :D

 @ being back! Not that I'm dreading interacting with you lot again, but I rather enjoyed have no commitments to anything online. :p Ended up doing so much, although we never went to the Grand Canyon in the end which was planned (just too time consuming getting up there). We went to Prescott for a day during their three-day market festival, to Sedona for a three day holiday-within-a-holiday, and even visited Jarome which is where one of my rellies live. Most of the time we stuck around Fountain Hills and outer Scottsdale though, and we primarily stayed at my aunt's high-class ranch house complete with dogs and horses. The great thing was that we arrived just as monsoon season was beginning, so we had some good Lightning Storms at night!

Oh yeah... I clocked up a grand total of 21.7 GB of movies and photos on my Digital Camera throughout the trip (storing them on my MP3 Player for the trip back home). That includes almost 10 hours of video and hundreds of photos. I figured I'd share a select few with you guys here. Photos! Not movies! :p

Sunrise over the Pacific as we neared LA (our stop-off point before heading to Phoenix)

Our aunt hostess feeding one of her horses (named Lucky) a Cheeto. Talk about zombie horses thanks to the flash!

Lucky wants YOU to feed him next! :moonie:

One of our aunt's dogs (Killian) wondering what the hell I was doing pointing something inedible at him. :p

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/300606_ApproachingStorm1.jpg
Aye! A storm be a brewin' matey! (There's meant to be mountains in the distance.) :squint:

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/300606_LightningShot.jpg
After literally dozens of tries, I finally captured a lightning shot in a pic! Captured HEAPS in high-frame rate movies though!

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/300606_StormSunset.jpg
A shot of the sunset occurring at the same time as lightning just opposite from it!

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/010706_Rattlesnake.jpg
What I almost ran into while walking between the rellie's houses!

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/030706_CaveCreekShopping11.jpg
Forget Cow Tipping!!

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/030706_Pagaette1.jpg
Here ya go Lion! One of the rellie's brought his cat down with him. :p

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/050706_SillyKillian27.jpg
Killian again. :p

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/070706_Chica1.jpg
My aunt's other dog (Chica) is incredibly camera shy! This is the best you'll get of her.

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/080706_Creek2.jpg
What the? Am I still in a desert!? This was at Sedona where the place became slightly more temperate in area.

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/080706_LandscapeShots21.jpg
See? :p

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/100706_Jarome5.jpg
Just WHO do these Jarome people think they are? :p

http://mooman.cannis.net/images/arizona/120706_KillianDrinkingFromToilet2.jpg
Uhhh. Yeah. What dogs do I guess. :moonie:

And finally... I shot this photo on full zoom on my camera when at cruising altitude over the coast of LA at some Oil Platforms down below. I was amazed at the relatively large amount detail I captured! This pic is at full size so I'm not going to display it here. :p

Okay. I'm jet-lagged to death right now, although I've got this massive urge to make up three weeks of non-hacking; so expect some changes. :D

I use a Canon Powershot A700 with a 2GB Card. Pretty much bought it a month ago specifically for this trip. What can I say? I'm a camera whore in life. :p

You'll have to go back to see it, three summers ago I hiked down one side and back up the other, it was lots of fun and I highly encourage anyone else who has two days at the Grand Canyon to do it (but you have to make reservations literally two years in advance)
