One some maps I make the code I enter has NO effect what so ever, here are some examples...

[GENERAL]
AmerParaDropInf=GHOST
AmerParaDropNum=8

and

[NAMISL]
TechLevel=1
Capturable=yes
AIBuildThis=no

and

[DESO]
C4=yes

and

[CASLAB]
SecretInfantry=DESO

etc

Does anyone know why this happens, the map has the code (and it is definateley correct) but has no effect???

Anyone?

The SecretX tags are obsolete on the Secret Lab. They're controlled in the [General] section.

For the Nuke Silo, I would leave its TechLevel alone. If you play with it, it will jump around the list and that's just obnoxious.

Aside from that, I don't understand why it doesn't work.
- Is this in the map file itself?
- Is the map in the RA2 directory?
- If it's there, is it up to date?
- Are you absolutely sure it doesn't work?

The SecretInfantry tag still works.

It’s always best to post the map in question for a faster response.

Duh its [General] not [GENERAL] so of course your seal drop won't work... i don't know much bout the rest yet...


EDIT: um how could you c4 a deso? thats what u put in deso...
