View Full Version : A way to stop rushers on your maps

A lot of people are moaning about "NO RUSHING!" or "Rush and i'll report j00" so i made this so theyu can stfu when they use their maps or their own maps.

Just add a wall of buildings on the map(make them big ones)
Add a trigger that creates a timer that says "NO RUSHING N00BS ROFLCAKES XD OMFG PWNED N00BZ LOLOLOLOLOL"or whatever for about 5 minutes or something and make another trigger that makes the attached building blow up after 5 mins and attach the tag to all the buildings then add this code to the building in the ini editor.

(also make sure it has some powerfull air defence weapon to stop planes)
(you can work out how to do that yourself lazy butz lol)
Quite simple and should stop them rushing "N00BZ0rZ!!1":) .

WHY DID YOU BUMP THIS,WHY!?
your forgetting about the "legaltarget=no" that will stop anything attacking in any way.
I totally forgot about chrono troops they could teleport through.

There's an map that prevents rushed on its own. One of the maps in the last official map pack.

first off thats not true. leagaltarget=no only means that the player will not automatically get an attack cursor on it. If they hold Ctrl. and click they get the attack cursor. The other thing is that this building won't work for 2 reasons: 1, you have str set to -1. this will glich and cause ie or the building will act like it just dosen't exist on the map (u get the same effect if you put the str too high too) . if u have immune=yes and leagaltarget=no then y would u need -1 str anyway?(watever you imagine would be teh effect of having -1 str) 2, it has no image and it is immune, with no image you have no buildup anim and u cant sell teh building and if its immune then u cant trigger destroy it. how will you be able to get rid of the buildings when the rush limit expires? You should do what all teh other good no rush map modders do; take like a sentry gun, and put a super ground def primary and a super AA secondary... dont even worry about str or immunity; with superweapons on each and lots of them in a group ppl wont even try to destroy them.
