The bottom left and corner of my border is not on the bottom left hand corner of the map!
And i can't move it back that way.
I have resized my map twice, if that is anything significant.
I hope this has a solution - my map in my opionion is good.
Furthermore: My Map says MISSING 'Long'. 'Long' being the first word in its title. WTF?????

Under properties, don't put a name in. Hit ctl+i and you will see a blue boarder. Then show boarders under view, and use the Boarder tool to move the top right corner of the orange boarder, so it matches the blue [shroud] boarder.

The blue shroud border is not on the edges of the map.

The outer line is the limits of the map.
The inner line is the blue shroud border.

Every map has an outer border, beyond the blue border. This is used for spawning reinforcement teams, etc. Everything that you want to see in the game should be within the blue border. It will not show anything outside the blue border, even if you make the orange border bigger. You should keep the orange and the blue border the same size.

Everything is good and fixed now.
If anyone has the same problem as me, just simply resize the map to make the blue border move out. But don't reduce make the 'border' value in the resize window too small, otherwise the map will screw up and everything will be dark and impassible.

But don't reduce make the 'border' value in the re size window too small, otherwise the map will screw up and everything will be dark and impassible. When making a skirmish map, the manual states to make the area around your map about 30 units wide, and make it 'impassible' by painting it with the texture tool. This defines a absolute border around the map, and is useful for the AI. By making the blue border move out to the edges of the actual map area, effectively removing the border I described above, the AI struggles by not having an outer boundary and the units could wander off map, a Bad Thing(tm), as I understand it.
Hope this helps. :)

I know this reply was made about a month after you first asked the questions, but I noticed that no one answered your question about the "MISSING: 'Long'" being your map name. I have a simple solution to it. Go to "Edit Map Settings" in the "Edit" menu. A window will come up, in the "Map Name" part you'll see the word "Long". Just delete that & the name you saved your map under will appear for your map.
The reason why this oppition is there has to do with the official maps. In each of them you'll see a name there like "MAP:AlpineAssault". Then if you look in the "ZeroHour.str" file somewhere in the game directory [I once saw it but forgot where it is (this file holds all the text for the game, each text line has their own name)] you'll see hundreds of text lines. There you'll adventually come to see "MAP:AlpineAssault" & right under you'll see the map name that you see in the game "Alpine Assault". The hole thing should look like this:
MAP:AlpineAssault
"Alpine Assault"
END
This doesn't simply make map official, you'd have to also edit the INI files too. If you did manege to make one of your own maps official & tried to play it online, the map would simply mismatch.
