First, this is the Shell Map for Zero Hour and you've made changes to it for a mission? The map is a pre-existing EA map, and personaly, I don;t have time to figure out where the conflicts are on a map you did not make, though you made changes to it, expecting it to work. Since it doesn't work, YOU dig through the many issues. Do this by exporting the scripts you added, and importing them to a new map file, or you could go through the scripts, one-by-one, and disable them until it works properly, finding the error by process of elimination.

Otherwise, only someone like RVMECH can help you. Good luck finding him.

I'm starting to think its my computer, cuz another map that i've made has started to do the same thing. Still, i'll mess with it and see what happens.

The problem is in your INI file. Once I removed the file from the map, then it worked. :) Although I didn't pinpoint to problem in INI file because I had to restart my computer after every time it messed up. Here are a few techniques for pinpoints the problem:

Make a backup copy of the INI file. Delete about half the INI file (Like the first two parts of it) then try the map. (I put about 100 camanches in the map to finish off the GLA fast) If the same problem accours then it must be in the other half. Now delete half of the remaining INI file. & try the game again.

Another technique is two repaste the INI file from it's sorces. (Assuming you pasted it from the accuall INI files that came with the game. If you used INI file from another persons map, then the problem may be the orginal INI makers fault.)

THat's what i thought it was. All that's in the INI are two locomoters that make the battleships move and the ptboats go faster. I noticed that the locomoters that are in the map.ini arent in the locomoter.ini. Do they need to be in the locomoter.ini in order for them to work properly? if not, then i have no idea why they're ****ed up. I copied the ini from the Hovercraft test map that i found while digging around in maps.big, and i have the same problem when i load that map. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Well, it really doesn't look like you need to have the battle ships move & the pt botes go faster. I think the pt boats are just fine the way they are. As for the battle ships, why would they need to move at all? They can fire at any distance. So I'd reccamend just deleteding the INI file you have. But I found this INI file in the second USA mission that you may want to include in your map. Don't worry, this one works, I tried it myself:

CommandSet SpecialPowerShortcutUSA
;3 = Command_A10ThunderboltMissileStrikeFromShortcut
1 = Command_SelectAircraftCarriersFromShortcut
2 = Command_SelectBattleshipsFromShortcut
3 = Command_SpyDroneFromShortcut
4 = Command_ParadropFromShortcut
;4 = Command_EmergencyRepairFromShortcut
5 = Command_DaisyCutterFromShortcut
6 = Command_FireParticleUplinkCannonFromShortcut
7 = Command_SpySatelliteScanFromShortcut
8 = Command_CIAIntelligenceFromShortcut
9 = Command_SpectreGunshipFromShortcut
10 = Command_LeafletDropFromShortcut
END

This will give the shortcuts to the battle ships & the aircraft carrier. The shortcuts will appear on the right side of the screen as they do in the second USA mission.

Yeah, i know they don't need to move, but I still think it's cool to have em move. Oh well, I can do w/o it. I had been looking for a way to get the battleship shortcuts to fire for some time now, and about a week ago i found that command button thing. Haven't put it in the map yet though. Thanks anyway. :wave:
