I would like to find out if we can run ea games (like generals & zero hour) with the new windows vista. I just bought a new computer but the available or packaged o/s now is the windows vista. I tried downloading some software but after download, a dialogue box says it is not a valid application. The software I was downloading had no problems when I was using the XP or other previous o/s. Can anybody give me some enlightenment before I install my ea games on my new computer? Thanks a lot!

Yeah, Gen and ZH should run on your comp, unless it's the 64-bit version of Vista. Same goes with C&C3.

Should actually still work even if it is the 64 bit version. The 64 bit supports 32 bit code, but it dosent support any 16 bit code at all. So i dunno but maybe the original c&c and ra1 may have problems. Generals and zero hour shouldnt.

I have vista at the office & I can play Zero Hour, However I would recommend turning off auto disk read to you DVD/CD ROM it may hamper the install when inserting disk 2. I have kept XP pro with sp2 on my home computers. Heads up-Vista comes with Norton remove this right away and get Kaspersky. To all those that use AVG, chances are your IP is in the hacker binder. This is compounded by the fact you have no worm protection. You may as well be out here bareback.
