Depends on how serious/numerous the big fixes are. I dont think its a bad thing though. I would rather have a patch now than 3 months down the line.

Don't you dunces remember the right-clicking 'issue'? EA already announced BEFORE release that the 1.1 patch would give you the option to change it.
