Lion's Daily Blurb - Tues., March 27

Command & Conquer 3, I have you now. I picked up my copy of the Kane Edition at my local EBGames store tonight (Tuesday). One of the dudes who works at the store, and by the way is a huge C&C fan, was telling me all about the features that come with C&C3. He sure was excited...maybe more than I was. He doesn't know I run a couple C&C fansites, and I didn't tell him otherwise. I was having to much fun listening to him praising Command & Conquer games. Anyhoot, I haven't had time to load the game up yet. I did open up the DVD box and made sure everything was in there. I've waited nearly eight years for this game, so a few more hours, or even another day makes no difference to me. I think I'll sit and stare at the box for a while, and then temptation will hit me, and I'll fire it up. Obviously I'm kidding. It's currently loading up whilst I type this blurb. I'll report back tomorrow on my first impressions of the full version of the game.

my kane edition is sitting on my desktop just daring me to play... unfortunately I have 3 papers (8, 4, and 2 pages respectively) and a test all before Friday, which is first day of Spring Break... therefore boys, I will not be on yet. :(

My preorder is sitting by its lonesome in the UPS store in Greensboro. The scheduled date of arrival is Thursday (even though Greensboro is only half an hour from where I live, I really don't see why they can't get it here tomorrow).

But none of that matters because I go out of town tomorrow morning, bright and ealy at 6:30 AM and don't come back for a week and a half! :tantrum:

I received the game at 12:40 pm today. I have installed and have been playing the GDI campaign. I am taking this slow...I have waited a long time for this game...8 years or whatever. I am not completing the missions in one night...even if I could. I want to savor each and every mission. So far, this game rocks! 9.5/10.0 is my vote.:D

Looks like everybody's gone to tackle the obvious... or I happened to get on early enough.

I'm not spoiling anything, but giving this game skirmish AI with some variation is the BEST thing I 've seen so far. (Haven't tried campaign or much else yet)

This'll make honing skills great fun when people aren't around for LAN parties.

Scrin just simply pwns. The tripods are great when they have the shield upgrades. Same thing with the Carriers.

There is a four player map called Redzone something. That map is great. Has some cool visual effects on it.

Does anyone know where I could find a copy of the Battlecast viewer? I can't find it on the web site anywhere. I can't wait I'm getting my copy of the game tomorrow.:D

well I guess it doesn't matter... my DVD stoped working last week, I took it to ask for the guarantee, they told me they'll be callin about two days later, well, its been four days, and ... they haven't called me either :tantrum:

Ouch.. i'm 1,220/100,000 <.>. Only gripe i have about it is you can't select the song you want to listen to. ;/ Other then that i've had it sense 4PM EST on the 27th. Gamestop FTW!

Well I picked mine yesterday at EBGames. I must say I am impressed. Have been playing the GDI Campaign and without giving to much away "The Battleship gave me a good laugh it is awesome" :hyper: I want to savor every minute of the campaign so I am not rushing through it.

I hope LION you will keep us posted on the patches?

By the way the girl who plays the intel for GDI, I believe her name is Jamie but it says James on the badge of her shirt is also one of the interns on HOUSE. I don't know her real name though.

Seems like our friendly neighborhood Lion has gotten sooo consumed with
the new C&C that he has lost all track of time and we might not hear

unfortunately I went through EA Link and am on my 9th download. It keeps crashing during the Installshield process so I have yet to play my first game of C&C3.

That really suxxors for real. I'm sure EA didnt plan for things to go that way of course though it's still an unfortunate situaton to have happen. Better
luck on your next game-purchase,mate. Hopefullly soon you will be able to play it and that will take away the "sting" from what happened.
