Windows 2000

Okay, I just installed the game on my computer, everything is new with the latest and greatest hardware but the OS. I got Windows 2000 from an older computer and can't get C&C 3 to run. I'm guessing it's because I do run Windows 2000k but can't be sure. Does anyone have a clue on this for a fact? I know the box says XP and Vista but not sure if that excludes other Windows versions. I run Half Life 2 and World of Warcraft just fine with Windows 2k.

There was a fix for the demo, and should be possible for the retail version. Check this topic over at DS:

You may want to contact the guy working on this fix, to get yourself up and running.

It ocurred to me that It could be because of the .NET framework, but as far as I'm concerned the game is written on C/C++, so it shouldn't be this... perhaps the APIs, perhaps the OS.

Sorry, I offer no good advise, but win2k and XP altough similar have differences, I think its the OS.

Crap. After patch was installed the fix no longer works. With any luck, maybe we can get a new fix for this???

In my experience, once the basic framework is sorted out, it doesn't take long for the fix to be adjusted to work with any patches. Give it a day or so and then hunt around again.
