Hello all, well, I want to buy a new router, a router which supports cabel and wireless in the same time, because my brother uses wireless right now, and if I make him use cabel, I think he'd get pretty mad. http://www.motherboards.org/forums/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

However, I want to buy a router which would allow me to play games, with allowing me to play games, I mean a router which is very easy to configure.

For example, I would like to play command and conquer 3 : tiberium wars online, or command and conquer : generals. I have a router(which sucks ), and because of that I get all the damn router problems.I tried configuring it very, very often. Haven't even really achieved anything but ruining my brothers connection XD.Haven't found good guides for that router either. I would really appreciate it if you guys here can give me some advice on what router to buy and which one would be best.

Okay guys, I know this site is german, so I linked you directly to the Wireless ROUTER section.

http://www.peluga.at/main.php?action=57&kakat=WLANR (http://www.peluga.at/main.php?action=57&kakat=WLANR)
I don't think you guys should have problems going through it, to tell me which would be best.

Click the first one for example:
Which is this router:
ASUS WL-500g Premium Router, 125Mbps

and it will direct you to a knew page where it has details about the router:
for example,

DETAILS:

WAN: 1x 100Base-TX • LAN: 4x 100Base-TX • WLAN: 802.11b/802.11g • zusätzliche Anschlüsse: 2x USB 2.0 • Besonderheiten: UPnP

I'm really bad when it comes to choosing and configuring routers.
So I'd really appreciate any help.

For one thing its cable not (cabel), second I got a Lynksis router from walmart that came with external wireless, uses wireless and wired, and has speed booster 6. It works great. It just depends on what you want and how much your willing to spend. I spent about $160 for mine so like I said, it's just based on what you want to get.

What's your router called? You can play command and conquer generals and CNC3:TW without any firewall problems?

you need to change your router allow rules.

and here's one site to rule them all: www.portforward.com

Yeah that's my fault. Made a mistake while correcting somebody for the same thing. It happens to the best of us I'm sure.

I'd say you should get a LinkSys. They have built in wireless capabilities and 4 spaces for wired internet connection
