Slow Gameplay??

Hello all, I was wondering if the gameplay is supposed to be "slow"? By that I mean compared to Generals, the units in this game are very slow. Not that it's lagging, but it seems that it takes forever for even vehicles to move across the map. Is this normal? I am playing the game at 1600x1200 (I think, I'm not at home now) and I certainly think my pc is up to snuff as far as processing power (Core Duo @1.7Ghz ea, 2Gb DDR2 ram, 512mb PCIe Nvida graphics card...) Is there a 'game speed' setting that I missed?

Either yes you missed the game speed setting or you havent built a crane and expanded like crazy. I found gameplay to be pretty fast overall. Depends how you play though.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have already built cranes to speed up base expansion, but the overall movement of units is very slow. I guess I'll have to look for the speed setting. Thanks.

I think you may be playing with settings too high.

If you look at a structure info on the sidebar (rolling over it with your mouse) It'll tell you how long that structure is supped to take to build. If it takes longer than what it says, your settings are too high :)

Default gamespeed is full by default I believe.

try downloading a application called fraps, it will display a number in a corner of your screen, which is the frame rate (the amount of still pictures displayed on your screen per second), if it is above 25, your in the green, below 17 / 18 it will start to laggggg, between 10, go upgrade something on your system or turn the settings down a notch

I think the main reason is between your high screen resolution and your game speed setting. It masy just seem slow.
