Something I've noticed

I noticed that during online play, when I go up against a sniper it'll look like the shot is not even close but yet I'm dead. I was just wondering if it could be a small lag issue, bad graphics or cheats. I'm betting on the graphics but I would like a more professional opinion on this.

its ok, it happens to every one. you just have to get used to it (but it does make snipering hard) whats your nickname? we got to play sometime.

I actually have two. One of them is ReconSnip which i let my sister use. The other is Recon8788. Whenever I get time to play you can usually find me on fnfall aow or marathon.

hey, do u guys have an idea why my renegade doesn't even work, everytime i try go on westwood online, it just can't go on. :redface: i really miss that game!

I'm usually on the westwood server, may have to jump over to gamespy if thats what you play on. Yurihomer, does it take you to the logon screen. If it does then you are either not entering your password correctly or your username has been erased. If it won't let you access it at all, something might not have got installed and you may need to reinstall. I just thought of a question. Do they still support registering new accounts for westwood online and if so how would you do it sincetheicon in thelogon screen won't take you there?

hey, the thing is i am in the log in screen, my username and password is empty. i remember before i install renegade, at the end, it saids u appear to have a user account and ask u to enter the password, it never happened this time, i tried reinstall it, reformat my comp etc, nothing works. i try to go to account manager or whatever, doesn't work. like i have a renegade account, but i just somehow can't access it or whatnot.have you tried using gamespy??

Will it let you enter any info into the logon fields?

like the section for my nickname and password is empty. when i go to the manage my account section, it doesn't allow me to do anything except to change the internet company i am using (e.g. cable, dsl, etc...) :(

I've tried all of those buttons but all it gives me is, it can't find the web page, or something to that effect. Try putting your info into the fields and press enter. I know that the most recent time I installed Renegade it didn't ask me, but I entered my characters info, actually two of them, into the fields and it found my character's no problem. You may just need to do that. I would still like to know how to make new characters for westwood online, if at all possible.

hey, can u give me a detailed description of how u did, like what bottom did u press and stuff. because like what u said, all i get is cannot log onto the webpage thing. thanks a lot for ur information buddy, is i can get it working, maybe we can have a game or whatever some day, got exams these days. :(

Finals week is just a week and a half away for me, so I know how you feel. What I was able to do is I went to Multiplayer Internet, Westwood Online, Advanced game, and when the login in screen came up I entered my logon name and the password for my account. You have to get the info exactly right or it won't even let you click login button. After you log in I would suggest setting it to auto log just to be safe. Thats how I was able to do it. The only thing that was weird for me is that on the login screen, the manage account button wouldn't work. It kept taking me to a bad page or something. Anyways I hope that helps ya out and I hope you get it running soon.

Man i was trying to figure out how to make new user accounts too. If anyone has an extra account that they don't use, could you please PM me so I can have some online games with my brother.

I think I played against ReconSnip. That name sounds very familiar.

You should definitely go with GameSpy. There are a lot of people still on there, especially with Jelly-Servers (RA Marathon) and FnFall's Marathon.
