I have to my knowledge not played any den members. As you know this game is a fast paced own early affair my average game is under 6 Min's. We have to represent well. We can not fail the Lion for the Lion does not fail us. Please post ideas for a try out scheme and we can determine where we stand as a group and infer how strong we can preform.

There must be tryouts, only the best 8 should hold a place on the top Den Team. There could be other den clans for people so all can enjoy, but a spot on the top team must be earned.My favorite top 10 ranking clan name I seen is GET IN THE VAN WE HAVE CANDY

Only reason I even suggested playing on the network style (besides it providing a much more secure connection) is that I can't play online, I always get disconnect errors. Hamachi works fine though, as you can tell by me saying it's wonderful. :p

I downloaded Hamachi for DoW: Dark Crusade and it royally screwed up my computer I had to do a system restore.

Im good with scrin with 2v2 maps, cant deal with rushers yet though. Cant rush either, havent learned to (and dont really want to learn to either).

I'm all for a Clan...

We can give the clan a special place on the forums if desired. The main Clan should be ONLY the best players, due to the fact your representing the DEN. Best to have tryouts for that Clan. You can always have like someone suggested, Clan 2 or 3 or how ever many ya want for those who just want to participate for fun.

You could have something like they do in major league baseball. Class A, AA, and AAA teams, and then the main Clan team. As peeps get better, move them up. The ones that are not winning, move them down. Get peeps (scouts) to recruit members, etc. Just a suggestion, but we could have like a Clan league sort of setup. Call it the DGNF Clan Organization...or whatever ya want to call it. You could have managers and coaches, and good players to teach others how to improve their skills. A long time ago in my Red Alert days back in 1997, we had just a set-up like this. It worked very well. It was on a site called Global Dominance. I was a member back then.

I would support something like that, give the league a section on the DEN for a dedicated website, and of course a section on the forums. Plus advertising on the DEN news page, having replays available for downloads, etc.

Derek, I stated nothing about going outside the DGNF forums to get players. It looks to me like you can have more than 8 people in a clan, so really we only need 2, maybe 3 teams. I propose about 10 people for the first team, then maybe 10 more in team 2 if there's enough people, then we'll have a third team (not necessarily called team 3) for everyone else who's just playing for fun.

Lion, if we could have a forum for the clan, perhaps I could start the ball rolling by organising a tournament for those that want to be in the first team?

Just curious of the Clan progress, I have not had the opportunity to play with alot of DGNF members but some that I have played with are Fantastic. Heres the view from my yard. Derek (Kered13) & soviet779 would be a formidable team playing 2 v 2 against anyone. Stompy (Stompeh) & Andeh are also very good. Please keep us abreast of the Clan progress, the Big Patch will be here soon.

No point in making a clan if we wont be clanwarring :D Should only clanwar after the patch though when those cheap lousy soab shadow teams have been nerfed, hopefully so theyre useless!

Shadow Teams? Those are the least of your worries in 1.04. Scorpian spam and spider basing are far more problematic. (They will get a 50% health nerf and a damage nerf against infantry, but they will blow up buildings just as well as ever)

I squash scorpion spams because my tanks are better and i have enough cash for a guardian or two as well. As for spider basing, if you cant beat emm join emm, i do the cheap sonic cannon thing myself. But shadow teams... theyre the only thing i have absolutely no counter for, not 2 minutes into the game anyways. If i counter for the 1 in 10 shadow team rusher i will lose to the 9 in 10 tank spammer. I hate shadow teams :(

Somone told me towers will be more effective against shadow teams too, in addition to the 50% health nerf.

Just clump your buildings together around tiberium fields and use plentiful watchtowers, sell them once the rush is over. If you know how to spider base properly you should be able to get Sonic Emitters shortly after the first tank rush (if not, hold off with Guardian cannons until then).

I have 180 wins to 22 losses, im doing it right believe me. Heres my BO, which ive gotten very fast at:

CRANE stretch more to blue field
REF at blue tib

REF at blue tib

WF - rarely gets built against a good ST rusher

Refinerys and PPs from all other cranes (3-4 harvs on every field)

Defend with Watchtowers and Guardian cannons until you can get Emitters. You should easily be able to have several watchtowers ready by the time the STs arrive. Try to find out where the teams will land (follow them with ground base infantry if you can) and place Watchtowers right when they land. If you don't know where they will land, then just place two watchtowers by every field (your cranes should be in that area anyways).

A BO with WFs and intermediate things won't work worth crap. You're spending too much money on unnecesary buildings and units, you'll never get a tech lab in time and even then you won't be able to afford enough emitters. A decent player will just hit you hard first with tanks and then just mass artillery and air units before you can start spidering. If you're going to spider, you have to go all out.

Rolk are there try outs of any kind? If everyone gets amalgamated into one clan our chances of success and Strong representation are grim. Perhaps a Pro team Tag 'Lion' or 'Lion~ownU' and a fun Tag DGNF1, DGNF2 ect... Also we must have a strong code of ethics as to reflect the good nature of the LION. As it sits now without tryouts I think Kered13 should be Clan leader due to his skill, competence & ethics. soviet779 and Kered13 are the best DGNF members I have played to date....Also Lion sometime I would love to play you in a 1v1 or as a team 2v2. Hoping your online hiatus is over with the 1.5.

Ive never done that before.... noones ever done that against me either, by the time i have preds and radar reveal if i see them with no tanks and only buildings ill take and hold the blue tib area and starve them.

Whereever these "decent players" are they sure as hell havent joined my games, i get people the same as me but slower so they lose, noobs, st rushers, and disconnectors.

I dont wanna spider all out, that dosent sound any fun.

Hes mainly talking about cheating. Disconnectors and other cheaters really piss OneWiseSith off, for good reason.
