Anyone ever notice that Iwo Jima statue in one of the maps in RA2? I thought World War 2 didn't happen in the RA universe.... that Einstein went back in time and got rid of Hitler.

Hitler never existing wouldn't have stopped Japan from attacking the USA.

True. Also, the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor is featured in two missions I think.

You could do a search if you really wanted to find out. Chances are yes or the subject has been crossed in another thread.

no, einstien went back in time to get rid of stalin. i believe WWII had just ended when he arived at his "back in time" destination. and yes, probably everyone noticed the Iwo Jima monument, considering it is at the center of the view where the first soviet mission starts.

No, Stalin invaded Europe in the absence of Hitler, and the Allies defeated Stalin (he was killed by the Greek general). After the defeat of Stalin, the Allies put Romanov up as a popular puppet, allowing the Soviets to exist while supposedly keeping them from building up enough power to be a threat again.

Is there anyway to download the intro video from Youtube?

I don't know - you'd have to try going to YouTube and searching to find out.

well ra2 is not conneted to ra1 and on 1st decade box ( the back of it i think) it says: red alert the battlegrounds of alternate history.

RA2 is connected to RA1. Some might argue that RA2 is connected to TD, or perhaps RA2 and TD are two possible continuations of RA1.

The Red Alert Universe takes place waaay before Command and Conquer, Generals starts after YR, then Command&Conquer comes into play because it's all based on earth, there's no Tiberium on earth when Americans/Chinese/GAL or Soviets and allies are fighting, and the GDI is kinda like a world police force from the UN.

I don't think Generals is Cannon. It is pretty much something completely different.

The reason I say all that is cause it's with reason, so far what I've been told, YR and Generals are just there, they have nothing to do with "real" storyline, I'm jusdt puting them in "cronological order" on how they would appear in the whole C&C universe.

but oh well, I don't really care about fictional timelines cause it can all get very confusing at times.

Yeah, try keeping up with the Star Trek timeline after all of the events of Enterprise, it's damn near impossible!

As a matter of fact, World War II didn't happen and Iwo Jima never happened either. It's an easter egg and I believe there's an article about it on Wikipedia.

I don't care what Wikipedia says, nothing in any C&C indicates that Japan wouldn't have attacked the USA, while 2 things (the memorials) indicated that Japan did attack the USA.
