I need help gaining money on multiplayer, I always run out and loose even though I spend less than my opponents, any ideas?

Fight for and capture a second or even third tib field.
And if you're going for a rush game, get two harvesters on one tib field.

Best way is to just keep playing and get experience in this. and also expand dont just stay with one tiberium field. get like 2 or 3 and if they run out then go fight for one of his.

I do expand usually to a third tib field right at the beginning this hasent happend before, so I dont know whats wrong, butthink its cause I buld a crane at the very beginning not later wich is what I used to do

building a crane first is the best first step tactic you can possibibly do.
if you want the best econ do this at the beginning.
Crane & outpost to expand>two tiberium refs ( sell one after the first load) > two more Refs and or power& barrack, more refs at other tiberium field.

but be carful, if he is going to rush you will probibly get crushed so i normal try to contact him and ask him to see what hes gona do.
Here is 2 examples of what most contacts will be like.
You: Hey man sup
other guy: nothing.
You: hello you there?
If they dont respond he probibly is rushing or doesn't know english; or is just a noob.
You: Hi
Other: sup
You: you like rush games? ( his answer may tell you if he wants on or not, if he rushes or not.)
Other: No ( he could be telling a lie; he could think your goinging to rush which is good; or he may just not like rushing.) If he says yes then he could be a rusher...
Or be liein just so you prepare for rush and he builds Econ; that is what i do.:gnarly: :devil:

Thats pretty funny, determining if you opponent is going to rush by seeing if they respond to your chats :lol:

Best advice yet.
Whenever I build my base, no matter what, I have guard towers right after I build my power plant (GDI). I've often seen peopel rush straight off and as soon as their rush fails, they quit, easiest way to disable an early rush is to guardup, I only build two however.

this one works well for me but requires fine tuning
1. build crane
2. then build a reactor and refinery
3. place reactor and then tib ref.
4. after reactor build a second ref.
5. after first ref is done build a barrack
(its a waste of money but that way you reduce down time, like building just 2 harvesters but this way you save about 1000 dollars - and by the time you build the war factory you have a good sum of money saved up. another plus is that you can send that other harvester out to another field before building an outpost so you can collect more money)

1. build a crane and outpost
2. then build reactor and ref, send the outpost out
3. after reactor is done build another refinery as the outpost unpacks

Crane, Refinery, Refinery, Power, Base defense built and cued but not deployed, Refinery ( Sell 1 refinery), war factory (3 Scorpions), Refinery, Command Post, Refinery, Power, Air Port (3 Vipers), Tech center, Refinery (sell Refinery). Build 2nd war factory and 2nd airfield. This works well for NOD especial. Be on your toes as not to be owned early. You must base rush before you hit 5 Min's. a take out power then cranes then CY. I have about 10 different approaches and build orders hopefully this simple one will help you win some. Time is always of the essence. You will have to adjust the power,warfactory build to an earlyier cue if he is a semi or pro. Hope this helps.
