Hi - I just started playing this game.
I was about to attack a Nod base, when suddenly none of my soliders would follow my orders!
There were pink/reddish lines extending to all of them from the Nod Secret Shrine. Were they under some sort of mind control? How can I break it? Was there some other problem?
I would order them to attack, and they would just ignore my orders!
Help!?

Sounds like you were in the waypoint system. Try not holding down any buttons on the keyboard when issuing simple attack orders.

I was just using the mouse. No keyboard buttons.
I would select all my troops, select a Nod building, tell them to attack, but they would just stand there!
I was doing the first mission that I was assigned to once I completed the tutorial.

yea your in planing mode which is crtl-Z or one of the buttons on the buttom of the screen, you probibly clicked it by mistake. planing mode sets protals and move orders over time etc. you should have seen a Activate or accdpt button to start your orders. but its best not to use planning mode if your new to cnc3 or rtss

Thanks - so going forward, how do I deactive this 'planning mode?'
Have you seen this pink lines emanating from a Nod structure that I speak of, or have I lost my mind, or are those 'planning mode?'

planning mode, just click the double z lines on the command bar, to toggle planning.
