GDI mission tactics

I am stuck on the GDI mission in Croatia. I can easily defend my base but when it comes to moving the convoy through the city I never get it past the two buildings with missle troops.

Build grenade troops in APCs and send them to meet the convoy and clear out buildings on the way?

He can't build grenadiers since the base doesn't allow you to build those from the get-go.

Here's what I did.

I built about 6-8 APCs, and filled them with some rifleman, mainly rocket soldiers. That way, your APCs can slaughter any infantry that comes along, with some aid from the riflemen. Move your APCs with the rocket soldiers up the street, but not in range of the garrisoned soldiers, and unload them. Have the rocket soldiers jump into the nearest garrisoned building in range (For some reason, the structures in the direct vicinity of the garrisoned Nod guys and the laser battery aren't able to be used to garrison in), and have them destroy the garrisoned buildings that way. From there, they can jump into the row of skyscraper looking buildings, and they'll be in range of the other garrisoned structure and the laser-turret hub.

wierd because i found this level easy to beat even on hard, basicly when the conyard comes i take everything i have and wipe out the entire inf base in the buttom left corner, plus all buildings, garrisoned or not. just mass preds and apcs.

maybe it was becuase i have 4 harvys so they where always dumping $ :p

leave the cy alone until your comfortable retrieving it - from what i can tell they wont touch it for a long time

i like to take out the north east base first with a mix of preds and apcs (filled with engineers) - just run into the base and take out the hubs with a few preds while the other units are attacking the units inside - unload the engineers to capture the facs and then use the captured nod equipment to help

The AI doesn't go after the convoy at all. Just clear out the entire western half across the river and you're good to go.
