Stupid question, I know... but how does skirmish vs AI handicap work? If I put it at a -#, does it make it more challenging or less?

The higher the percentage, the less rescources the comps start out with. Easy;)

its armor i believe, not money. all i know if two mamoths face each other and one of them is at -95% the other one will kill the other one 95% faster

This may sound stupid but this means that the player selecting e.g. -50% will have a disadvantage over the other players?

So, the strong player selects the handicap in order to even out differences in experience?

(I mean: in golf the handicap is given to the weak player - so this is opposite, right?)

I'm pretty sure that it also nerfs the amount of money you start out with, because the comp seems to build more slowly too. It's most noticeable with a brutal AI.
