Does anyone know how to have the stock maps in CNC show up so they can be modified and saved as another file?

I'm pretty sure the maps are in a .big file somewhere. I think they're [C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer 3\MP\1.0] there.

You need a .big extractor I think... I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure! Hope it helps a tad.

The *.map files can be extracted from the MPMaps.big & SPMaps.big files. They then need decompressing using a tool such as Big4Decomp.
After that they should open in the map editor without any problems (though most of the single player maps take a long time to load due to all the content)

Only extracting the *.map & *.tga files and decompressing gives anything useful, (not sure what the other files such as *.imp, *.relo & *.bin are to be used for).

Yeah, just extract them from the .big files. FinalBig won't work though, you need a newer .big editor. I used OSBigEditor available at ProjectPerfectMod (www.ppmsite.com) myself. Another note is that they will have very generic names, not the names you find in the game, so to identify the maps you will need to look at their mini-maps (.tga's) or open the map in Worldbuilder itself.

I found them, and I use OSBigEditor too..
