View Full Version : Too Close For Comfort (Very small two player map)

Too Close For Comfort is a VERY small two player where both players start almost within sight of one another!!!
The aim is to build up a base as quickly as possible while defending/assaulting constantly!
There are two tiberium spikes at corners of the map & two blue/green tiberium fields.

Aren't any known bugs, though it did take a long time to get the correct buildable areas...

Hope everyone has fun playing this map!

I was thinking of making a map like this called 'Quick Draw'. You beat me to it though. How long is an average battle on it? I'd have thought it'd be over within 2 minutes.

how long it lasts depends on how many mistakes each player makes, it can go on for quite a while...
I've found that against a hard AI I can usually win though it can take up to 10 minutes. Against a Brutal AI I usually last at least 5 minutes before I get overwhelmed.

Human players should have an advantage over the AI as you can build the appropriate defences right outside the AI's production buildings.

Another odd thing is the AI decides to build an expansion base inside your base after about 3-4 minutes. If they succeed it becomes nearly impossible to win :(

nah... engies get killed too fast, if a smart player places a few squads of riflemen in his base, besides, when you get to sonic towers, they can own the frackin place :), not to mention dev warships which you can leave hanging over the airbase, or mammoths / juggernauts who can shoot while beeing repaired by the war factory :)
