co-op campaigns?

Can anyone help me find information on how to create a co-op campaign?
I think I've looked through every post on this forum and came up with
nothing in searches, but I'm sure it's there and I missed it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you mean co-op for online play? if so, i'm pretty sure you can't make co op campaigns

Yes for online.
And yes there has to be a way.
I saw 1 done by RVMECH I think.
I don't expect that it will be a simple task.

Maybe there is a way, but if your right, it won't be easy. Hit me up if you find anything. If RVMECH did one maybe you should pm him aobut it, maybe he can help you.

The problem is:


If you take the EXTREME ammount of time to create one, you can NOT transfer it online... it will not work... in fact, you may actually get the GAME VERSION NOT COMPATIBLE because you will need to modify a ra2 system file to include the new co-op information... once that file has been modified you can't play with anyone online unless they have that EXACT - SAME -- mod that you do.

They would have to have downloaded and installed it specifically for that co -op instance, and would have to UN DO the changes if they wished to ever play a normal game with anyone ELSE...


I had a strong desire to make one, and I gave up.

My information is not fact, it is my opinions based on research I did about 10 months ago along with some trial and error. -- note the word ERROR... I did not succeed.

Flying Z would be a good resource to look towards.

Deezire does not cover this topic at all.

I have a couple of his maps. It's actually (I think) a .yrm map with a co-op play to it.
