It depends on what you want for your map, do you want lota build space for each player?>

my suggestions,

4 p, 350x350-450x450
6 p 350x600-600x700 or what ever u want.
8 p 400x400+ anything above that should be fun, just not to big,

Remember you can always add more to your map very easy, so its best to start out small then if you need more room, you can just resize your map.

The manual suggests 250x250 for a 1v1, but I'm making a map on those dimensions and its definately too small. Go for at least 300x300 for a 1v1 map.

the manual also suggest a 70 yard? border... I don't do that either,

I just try to fit my design in the map, and if it doesn't fit, I'll make it bigger, or think of something else to fit in
