has anyone thought about converting the single player maps in C&C 3 into Multiplayer maps?
i was looking at some of them in worldbuilder and it wouldn't be that difficult really
base locations are already there all you would need to do is strip out all the single player waypoints triggers and whatnot
then add in the needed stuff for a MP map

That's ok to do it as long as you don't submit the map to the DEN and claim it as your own map. Also, you MUST make sure to remove all associated scripting with those single player maps, and anything else that could cause errors. I've imported a few of those maps, and some would make good maps for skirmish use with a little modifications.

i'd never submit as my own map
just thought it would be nice to play on them
if i did submit one i'd give all credit to the guys at EA
i just had a fiddle with the GDI mission in albania
so far it works perfectly

are there not some maps already mp'd from single player maps?
like that big crater in gdi's almost final mission?

Just the topic I was looking for!
I like the idea BUT (you won't like this): I make them MP-Coop
So, 2/3 players in coop playing against the AI, and trying to keep the original enemy base as it was in the campaign mission, for example, I've made a coop version of Sarajevo, keeping the Nod base almost intact, the AI starts as player_3 and the base belong to it. That way, the enemy starts with all the stuff already built, and attacks comes soon. So playing in Hard, becomes really hard (and fun ;)).
I like also to add some scripting (reinforcements, destroy "this_building" to get "this_award") and stuff like this.
Now I'm working on a map called "Nuke" (I dont remember the name exactly).
If you like I could up somewhere some screenshots, or the map itself.
I would need first some hints on making a readme.txt explaining that the map it's not mine, it's a modified one, and the credits to EA, and anithing else I should explain.
