i already uploaded an earlier version of this map to CNC Den.

but after reading a few tutorials and looking at it some more i decided to go back and redo the textures and change some of the map.

i added some silos to each starting position and assigned them to the player that starts in that location.

and also replaced the mutant hovels with EMP Control centers.

I did write up a huge reply about this but I lost it all because I'm a prat.

Anyway, a few things.

1) Take away the stretch of cliff in each base between the tierbium fields and the bridges. Bottleneck entrances = bad.

2) Don't put 2 tiberium fields slap bang next to each other. If you want more tiberium simply increase the growth rate.

3) The cliffs look unrealistic, they're very pointy.

4) Most definately add a third entrace, I suggest at the side of the map. Just use the smooth land tool or whatever it's called to create a large opening.

5) Widen the back entrances, again, bottleneck entrances = bad. They encourage prolonged camping games.

6) Still needs more detail. The map still looks rather bland at the moment. It's very monotonous. Try adding rocks, rubble, dead trees and other bits and bobs and also add more texture detail.

Overall though it's a cracking idea for a map and if done well could be great fun to play I reckon.

The main problem I see with it out of everything though has to be the limited bottleneck entrances, that's going to cause a great deal of grief when played with human players.

That simply shows the growth radius of the tiberium fields for reference when texturing/moulding around them.

i am working on adding a bit more detail to the map

just depends on how much free time i get
