1. First of all get a new PC if it is running slow :hyper:

:wtf:

2. But, if you are like me who runs on a piece of junk and can't afford option 1 then here are some things while working, that will overcome your problem, so ill bullet in some things you might find good, and now i am getting SO much better quality out of WB yet not so much better; it really is tweaked>
Re-Install WB (Delete It but not all your maps!) And Let It Load Up.
Allow Time For It To Load Up And >Don't Start Clicking< Everywhere In Impatience :tantrum: Or It WILL Lag To The Next Century.Another Tip From Someone Else;) : When Finishing Off On WB Got To File ---> New ---> 50x50 and Turn Off Even More Things From View ---> 'Show....' etc As When It Loads Again It Will Be Faster!!!

Avoid Using Huge Map Sizes.
Don't Run MSN, Yahoo, Limewire (just disconnect), Or Other Programs You Don't Need That Use Internet And Will Lag WB Up.
When Texturing ZOOM In and Then Texture to Your Heart's Content, Especially When Doing Very Fine Txt'ing
While Txt'ing Don't Be At Weird Angles To The Surface. IE Look Straight At Where Your Cursor Is.
Don't Hold The Mouse Button In Too Long While Txt'ing etc. As When You Try This Yourself You'll Realize The Feedback of the Cursor Is 5s Behind What You Want To Do :freek:.
If It Does Start To Lag Let Go Of The Mouse And Just Let It Settle
Go To View ---->
Get Rid Of Anything That Looks Like It Is Going To Give Your CPU a Stroke. eg. ----> Show Bumped Terrain...get rid of that<<
View ----> Partial Map Size ---> Show 64? or 100? This Works For Huge Maps (which I warned you about:gnarly:)......And Anything I haven't Thought Of Already, Besides Spending The Money You Do Or Don't Have,

Mainly its the FX that mess up PC's while working so just go to View and get rid of anything you can live without. You'll get Used to all my TIps as you Discover them for yourself, bear in mind this is on my Dell Dimension so MAC and others, so just think about it>

:wave: Happy Map Making

:chin:When I'm gaming I go to msconfig.exe and disable anything not needed in the processes and disable all start up programs. :eek:It makes a huge difference. Page file usage goes from 400-600MB down to 100-200MB.;) (use Task Manager to find out yours)

:DWB uses about 1GB on my laptop. Right now I'm running everything except the really flashy parts of WB, running IExplorer, playing a playlist, and viewing this website. My current PF usage is 1.89 GB with 62 processes running. I'm on a relatively new gaming laptop, so its no biggy:hyper:. On my other laptop, it'd be fried already:flamed:. Last time I ran WB on it with everything disabled it was about 800MB, and running slow:doped:. My best advice is suck it up, disable all the goodies on your computer, and go slowly.:drunk:

Oh, and If you can afford it, buy a new laptop, SO much easier! :devil:
