Today I was dusting out my computer. I removed the video card and dusted it. As I was about to put it back in, I noticed it had burn marks on it. I checked to see if anything was rubbing against it and the card had a lot of clearance on both sides.
I will try to get pictures later on. Need to buy batteries :dead:

Burn marks are the sign that your video card's fan is not functioning properly, and the video card is overheating. I highly suggest you take the card to a computer repair shop to get the fan fixed, or the video card will continue to overheat and burn. I had this problem with my old computer, and the video card eventually got crispy because I failed to notice the burn marks.

The burn marks aren't on the fan or the GPU core itself. I found a picture of the card on yahoo and I just marked it with red where the burn is. Although in the picture there is a black and a silver thing and my card doesn't have that.

Well if it still works be happy. Somthing may have caused a short and that made burn marks somehow, ive never seen burns anywhere except on or around the core.

You probably just had a short along one of your cards pipelines. Thats about the only reason I can think of. Just in case I would have it checked out, just in case. You never know but this burn could lead to a more problematic situation later on down the line if you don't keep an eye on it.
