Well most people probably know it, but here it is anyway...

1. Play as China Inf Gen
2. Send a dozer to the enemy base and build a barracks in it
3. Build some mini-gunners and take out other infantry (and air if required)
4. Then get plenty of Tank Hunters and finish your opponent off!

OR

4. Build fortfied bunkers and place your men in them until you feel the time is right to attack!

Yeah, this is as nasty as basing strats get. Too easy to counter with spydrone + LL MD though :(

Bunker Rush KeKe. The problem with it is if it is countered, your screwed for the most part. It's like the Tank Lix rush, deadly if you take the enemy by surprise with it.

"Too" easy? How can a strat like that be too easy to counter? But you're right, spy drone + forward rax + LL MD easily defeats this. Someone tried to do it to me yesterday (after calling me a n00b, I presume for rushing, when I beat him in the game before). I destroyed the dozer before he could even start building the rax.

The generic counter (and by generic I mean any army can do it) to this rush though is to base swap. Take a dozer or worker from your main supply to his flank supply and rebuild there while holding him off at your base. Worst case scenario you'll lose your main supply, but have two flank supplies and will probably be able to easily take his main, while he can get the middle supplies and your main if you lost it. Of course, each individual army has its own counter that works just as well if not better than this: GLA should be able to stop it with terror cars, China could get a dragon tank (do those clear bunkers?) or just mass THs on foot with Gatts to kill any minigunners.

Dragon tanks can only clear civilian buildings. You need Neutrons or Bunker Busters to clear China Bunker. The Inf bunker is un-clearable.

Horrible strat. It's the only thing that attracts the noobs to Inf gen, because they think they can get easy wins without effort. I proved one of those noobs wrong, even though I was Tank with no dozers, 1wf and 1supply.

Good times, good times.

Two questions:
1. How did you lose your dozers to a bunker rusher?
2. How did you beat an Inf gen with one supply, one WF, and no dozers?

And bunker rushing isn't the only thing that attracts newbs to Inf, they're also quite fond of the Bunkerlix rush, but at least that is actually still somewhat effective at medium levels of play.

strategy won't work vs gla, will likely not work vs china, most chance of success is vs usa if he/she does not know how to counter it.

What attracted me to the inf gen was the airforce. :color2:

I went for a middle build, hoping to get a rax + wf for TH + Gatt spam.

His first tank hunters got my dozer just as I finished my forward rax, and he sneaked them around the flanks to my second dozer. 5 Minutes later, there was a rax + bunker outside my secondary supply. After that, THs taking down my power. But by then I had about 2 - 3 TC with gatts & dragon tanks. I just picked off the bunkers, whilst constantly building units to take down the flank dozers & rax's. It was no-where near a honourable win, the guy was horrible.

Noob is an understatement here! The moment any GLA notes your "delightful strategy" (which he would see with, terrors, workers,...) he would get time to finish is WF (deep in the base, GLA-style) and build 2 toxin tractors, who would laugh at your useless infantry:evil: . Now imagine it with toxinGen (any single tunnel would prevent a radius of safety from your minis. TH can outrange the tunnel but any GLA would have more than enough time).
Well, anyway u would probably lose your dozer and a lot of money in infantry, so... what time is it? ....tech-terror time.:hyper:

Laser Lock, the special ability of Missile Defenders, notable for letting the MD shoot more often and deal the same type of damage as tank shells.

i love all the comments here about how if the rush is countered, you are pretty much screwed. seriously, that comes with most rush strategies. =]

Not good rushes.

a good rush strategy slams a few units on the field for quick defence (and i mean that loosely; best defence is a good offence) and map control, attacks OR defends depending on the situation meanwhile your enemy is kept busy and you get another supply depot and tech up for the win.

The term "rush" does not imply an all-or-nothing strategy, although some rushes are that way.
