the tournment will be held on saturday june 2nd, 6 PM Eastern time zone, here is a website for those of you who lives in other country to figure out when to attend the tournment http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ (just compare the time in your city to the time in Toronto, then you will can find out the difference in hour)

we are using patch 1.05c, and thanks to (Me Myself <-- a member on CNC den forum) the website for patch download is http://www.gamereplays.org/cncreplay...=downloadpatch

we will be meeting in Original Army Only lobby, if player who signed up and haven't showed up at 6:30 PM Eastern time, then he/she will be forfiting.

player who win/lose will report to me (and maybe derek too, if he can help me with it whenever i am playing), and be sure to save a replay, so we can get a final replay folder for anyone who wishes to watch the replay.

But you should still set it up so that there's a losers' bracket. Or use the Swiss system. That way people don't get eliminated so easily.

Anyway i this bracket [I'm guessing in some cases] each player has a better chance of wining for in round one, they're facing someone who they [hopefully] have a chance of beating. IDK about SquerlPunk or his friend, but This bracket is betttr IMO. Though perhaps I should've but it so the winner between Me/DrgNz should face the Derek/Yuri winner, but what do you think?

Thats a good thing, thats how all highly competetive tournament (such as the NCAA) are designed. That way the best teams are expected to advance to the later rounds. Assuming no upsets, the final round is between the #1 and #2 players/teams.

Furthermore I disagree with your assessment about the brackets. While I'm seeded against {under0ath, who I will most likely beat (seeing as I don't know him and I beat most people I don't know), the other match ups are pretty fair. Neither IK or Sqwerlpunk are especially good, so they'll probably have a decent game with one-another. Daishi vs. drgNz should be decent (although I would favor drgNz) and Yurihomer vs. Itzan should also be decent (although I again favor Yurihomer).


However I re-iterate that we should use the original, random brackets.

Rule are TD unless both players agree otherwise.

Also, a Swiss Tournament would probably last too long and be too complicated to run. Single elimination is very simple and fast. When players are defeated they can continue to play FFGs with other (also defeated) players, so I don't think its really an issue. One of the nice things about these tournaments is that they get everyone together in one place at one time so people can play a lot of games, even outside of the tournament.

drgnz, i am not sure how u can upgrade it from patch 1.05b. i didn't have any patch before, so i just went to the patch downloading site, followed the instructions. i suggest you try that first perhaps

Be vChina. If you have the BM training upgrade, TCs cost 1200 you should be on 1.05c.

Sorry to answer to this thread only now, but i've been a bit busy these days due to professional duties (whoa, what a speech!:cool:)
Ok, now i watched all replays. It was a nice tourny overall. Congrats to everyone cause all the games were played at good lvl. Here're some comments.

-drgNz~ : SWgen haunts you definetly:lol:. U played a nice first game nonetheless. Very agressive for a SWgen. On the second game u "just" forgot the flashes.:rolleyes:

-Daishi : U suffered of the ignore-the-second-supplies-as-China syndrome and were always "undercashed". Also an useless WF and a predictable loss in the urban area to the flashbangs. The airfield was a good idea but the lack of money.... What to say?... drgNz~ was better, this time.:)

-Zan : Yuri played it well and always kept u very "tied", anyway u should get elite minigunners if u were to spam ATC, have them ejected (the ATC is useless vs MDvees, and make minigunners have HP halved when destroyed if they are inside) and scatter them to minimize flashes. Migs or even a lix could help cause inf alone can't catch flashvees. :|

-underoath (invited): Also suffered from the syndrome. And in real, the pure AO spam never posed a challenge to Derek's vees.

-ImageKlonoa: U should have sold your CC at least when u've seen your opponent wasn't USAf nor GLA. And your elite BM while can't catch the nuke's, they can fight'em so guard the flanks with one on each should have been a good and cheap idea. Mining the supplies could have been a possibility too.

-Squwerlpunk: Great first game. Good harassment and well timed employment of mixing. On the second game (Inf vs USA) an airfield instead of a dual WF is usually better vs USA (TC and AO are expensive and not so spammable as Dtanks which are nearly useless vs USA). Inf needs air support against those pesky vees. BN migs help a lot.

-Derek : U played at great level, as expected and only your failed MD drop in the final could be questionable ('cause he's USAf and it cost u a lot of cash on MDs. It was all or nothing...:hmm:) but really great lvl of play.;)

-Yuri : Great lvl of play and pretty much agressive. In the final, your "ambulance defense" was well thought but a bit lucky. Well, as the game itself: USAf vs USA. What to say?... Congrats on your victory;)

I'll be starting a team soon for a local competition which runs for about 15 weeks iirc. Just been practising handles and whatnot, I've been told I make a good center :p
But I've also had work all this week, 9 - 5 and I'm pretty much buggered after that. I havn't played since the tournament x.x
Havn't played soccer in about 3 weeks actually, it's been constantly raining here ;D

Streetball is very dinamic and addictive. I do play it twice a week (sometimes a 5vs5 but rarely). Improve yourself for my next visit to Sydney...:evil: Just kidding!:lol: My international travels don't go further than Spain (Portugal neighbor) and i don't know if would ever visit something beyond it.
Ah, and don't forget your cereals every morning and a soup every dinner to reach 6 feet!:D
