cannot connect to matchmaker

hi all i have lost connection to matchmaker any1 else have same prob b4.
Can some1 explain PING for me i think mine is to high 230+ how does it work ? thanks

I think when you can't find the match maker, it's having problems. I think the last time it did that, it lasted a couple of days.

If your ping is 230ms (mili-seconds) then you'll lag when playing online. Usually, you need to have a ping below 190 or 200 ms to not lag.

I would like add somthing else about ping, if you see a player with over 500 ms. That doesn't mean that he extreamly lags. He wouldn't even be able to log onto generals online with that slow of a connection. It's just an ea bug. He can have a ping anywhere from 50ms to 300ms.
