These instructions will show you how to get rid of the EA Games logo that comes up before the into movie. You can also get rid of the movie too.

1) Go to the game directory.
2) Open the "Data" folder.
3) Open the "English" folder, then the "Movies" folder.
4) You'll see two files in this folder here, one with the name "EA_LOGO" & the other "EA_LOGO640".
5) Either delete, rename, or move them some where else.
6) Now the EA Logo will not come up when loading up the game!
7) Do the same for the "sizzle_review" & "sizzle_review640" files. (I'd reccamend that you create a folder here called Intro Movie or somthing like that, & place thost two files in there. Just incase you want the movie back. If you do delete them, then you'll need to reinstall the game to get them back.)
8) Now the movie won't come up!
9) If you don't like the Zero Hour intro movie as much as the Generals, then just switch the files to the Generals intro movie with the Zero Hour intro movie.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask in a reply.

Or you could add something to the Shortcut. I forgot what it is, but it removes the movie without 'changing' your game version.

This doesn't change your game version, it plays fine with the movies deleted. It is, however, older than dirt.

Really? Okay, but I would prefer to have a short cut, instead of editing game files :hmm:

I think it's worth it. Just don't delete any other files. If you caught yourself deleting a file, you can just go to the recycling bin & retreive it. If you do however manage to mess up your game, all you got to do it reinstall it.

Or you could just add -nointro to the shortcut.

the command line is "generals.exe -quickstart". It makes the game interface run smoother by eliminating the animation.

but it removes the movie without 'changing' your game version.

the command line to change version is "generals.exe -mod patchc.big" (this example makes the 1.05c work. I renamed the patch.big file to patchc.big for obvious reasons)

And, imagine that, u can use them both...:p For a final example:
"generals.exe -quickstart -mod patchc.big" ;)

To get rid of EA logo, only by deleting. :|
