*transmission from the hathaway*
This is Captain Ein, our engineers has managed to get the main power up and running and repaired our communication dish. However the engines are underpowered and we can only manage to stablelized our orbit. With the power back on, our navigator places us out by Pluto.

We sent a scouting party to the surface to see if we could find anything usefull and...well... we did find something. It Appears to be an acient ruins of something or as far as we can tell. And it is massive and underground. We lost one person due to the fact she found a hidden entrance the hard way. So far we have only found very little artifacts and evidance suggests it was abandoned for at least several thousands of years. The remarkable part is the fact the it is still sealed. We are not done exploring and since we can't go anywhere or do annything else, I figure it is the best course of action. Still no clue who it belonged to. Will report back later will more info.

*Ricko's team breaks into the Orion supply ship's storage area*

Ricko: Well, would you look at that: a whole storage room full of Proton torpedoes and space mines. Good thing we didn't decide to drill on this part of the ship, or we would've been disentigrated...:dead: (guess it also expains why the Orions stopped firing at us)

Lt. Kendell: Sir, the bridge is ours, and we've also got several POWs including the comms officer and the second in command.

Ricko: Excellent. Take them on-board our transport; we'll save their interrogation for later. In the meanwhile, do you think we can open the docking bay and activate these babies here?

Lt. Kendell: For what purpose, sir?

Ricko: Nevermind what purpose, do you think you can do it?

Lt. Kendell uhhh... doubtful, sir. The captain put a lock-down on the systems of this craft before we could reach him (we're dead in space cause of this bTW), and almost took Corporal Franks with him too when he tried to suicidally detonate a frag grenade on his own body... not a pretty sight!

Ricko: Yeesh. Alirght, then. I guess we'll just have to --

*BANG!*

Ricko: What the hell was that just now?!

*another explosion then occurs which rocks the supply ship, knocking everybody down on the floor*

Ricko: Aww, no no NO!!!! They're hitting our transport, tell them to break off now, before they get destroyed!!!

*The transport attempts to back off and avoid the attack, but the Orions locked on to it and launched a torpedo*

Thanks for the save! Wasn't too sure on how the hell I was gonna get out of that one, if at all!

However, I think that supply ship can still have its uses for us, Admiral -- can you use your tractor beam on it, and maybe sorta "sling" it towards the center of the Orion fleet? With that many Proton torpedoes aboard, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to severly damage them, if not totally destroy their forces!

(don't worry detonating it though, some of my gear was left behind during the beaming including some explosive charges with a remote frequency - you just gotta dial it in to set it off once you are ready)

Excellent, move in and target their remaining vessels. Ricko, you'll get a medal for this (Then the president will probably shoot you)

2d Lt. Boren: "Oops, I got the blue screen of death and I was trying to fix my console but I unplugged the wrong switch, sorry guys."

Cmdr. Krasnodar: "Well plug it back in, hurry, we're under fire. Why on earth is your console using a PC after hundreds of years?"

Lt.Cmdr Avis: "Would you trust James Boren with a modern computer on the bridge?"

Cmdr. Krasnodar: "Good point."

Mr. President, what have you done to my ship! ;)
The engineering crew is working overtime in an attempt to bring everything back to operational status. I suggest that we return to the shipyards for a full repair, however, as it is doubtful that they will be able to make the ship 100% or even 60% functional on their own.

Nilsog
07-11-2007, 01:40 AM
No need to worry, Captain Bean, I am declaring a victory.

That's right, with the destruction of the core of the Orion Fleet, theres not much left to do in this battle but pick off the remaining support ships and capture what we can. I can already tell the tides of this war are changing. While we lost some good ships, and some brave men and women in this fight, it has changed our future to a brighter one. With the bulk of the Orion Capital fleet obliterated by Sgt. Ricko's brilliant plan, the Federation is free to take back our outlying colonies and member planets.

This is not to say that there will not be more challenges in the future, or that we are done with the Orion, but the job will be much easier from here on out.

I must congratulate you all on the success of this mission, without the talent and bravery you people possess, we very well may have failed. I am proud to be your commanding officer.

I am recommending a promotion for Sgt. Ricko of SFMC. General Wargrudge, the fine details shall be up to you. Captain Gaucho, with the destruction of your vessel, you are an untapped resource to Starfleet. I am reassigning you command of FSS Exeter NCC-1672. Take care of her.

As for our new classes of ships, Utopia Planetia reports construction of the Ambassador Class is going well, and is estimated to be at 35%.

Rear Admiral Statalyzer will be keeping us updated on the Alliance Class light cruiser variant.

When medals day comes, you will all be looking for more room on your uniforms. You have done an excellent job.

Defiant clear.

Trevorrex

*brushes debris off uniform*

Yes, I agree with the sentiments of Admiral Nilsog. Despite the collateral damage, Ricko's plan was most effective. I wholeheartedly approve of his promotion.

The remainders of the Orion fleet are on the run, they have suffered a near crippling loss today.

Sorry Bean, but you weren't around to take this ship into battle, so somebody had to. We are on our way to the shipyard, pending repairs, command of this ship shall be returned to you.

Yorkie, many injured people are on their way to you. Injuries range from dismemberment to boo boo's.

Well done everyone.

The only thing I can think about is the data from the sensor array that I collected sometime ago. Deso's probably done decrypting it by now, so perhaps we can use the telemetry it recorded to piece together which direction it might have went?:chin:

UPDATE ON THE RECENT THEFT OF THE USS UNITY:

Well, it's really not that big of an update, but I just got word that our deep space listening post picked up a Federation starship heading past the brink of our solar system. My guess is that it's the Unity. There were also several other signatures along with the Unity as well (Orion escorts, maybe stragglers from the previous engagement???), but from the looks of things we'll never be able to get a ship out there in time to intercept them.

Whatever the case, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing it's joyriders returning her anytime soon...:\

We have things pretty much under control now and the boo boos have been sorted, I hope you don't mind but I have sent all the walking wounded to have a well earned rest in the club area which was placed in the hospital grounds while you were all in combat.

Unfortuanately we do seem to be running low on Smirnoff Ice at the moment though *hiccup*

The dismemberment has proved to be a little bit more difficult to deal with and we are still looking at ways to perhaps use bionic body parts but hopefully this will be sorted in the next day or two so expect a super crew to leave the hospital unit.

You can fire through our shields by setting your weapons to modulate at 34186.2 but target only propulsion systems.

Captain Gaucho: Well at least now we have a better way to penetrate their shields with little cost to us. Alright, John bring all weapons online, I want to be able to fire as soon as we get the chance and make sure to have the phasers modulated to the frequency that the Admiral gave us. Also how long till we’re in weapons range?

Lt. Commander Seers: Yes sir, all weapons armed and ready, phasers modulated and at this speed about 5 minutes till in range.

Captain Gaucho: Alright. Ensign Reeves, have us drop out of warp as soon as we knock them out.

Ensign Reeves: Yes sir.

Lt. Commander Costello: Sir if we don’t drop out of warp soon the core will overload. I recommend we drop down to warp 6.5.

Captain Gaucho: I’m sorry but we just don’t have that luxury. Hold it at warp 8.5.

Lt. Commander Costello: Alright, but it won’t take long for the injectors to overheat and the plasma coolant container to…

Captain Gaucho: I get the picture. How much longer till we’re in range.

Lt. Commander Seers: Almost in range…….. And now. Firing phasers.

The phaser shot penetrates the shields and takes out all of the Unity’s Propulsion systems. The Exeter drops out of warp right after the Unity.

Captain Gaucho: Target the Orion ships, fire when we come in range.

Lt. Commander Seers: Sir they’re not stopping.

Captain Gaucho: Hmm, that’s odd. Beam an away team to the Unity to make sure everyone is alright and accounted for. Commander, you lead the away mission.

Commander Sims: Already got a team prepared and at the transporter pad. Beaming over now.

The commanders team beams over to the Unity and immediately gets to work.

Captain Gaucho: Commander, I want you to try and find that mole at all costs, understood. I don’t want him/her causing anymore problems.

Commander Sims: Affirmative.

Captain Gaucho: Zach, I want you to get over to the Unity and help them get their engines back online.

Lt. Commander Costello: I would but I have to tend to our engines first. We nearly overheated the antimatter injectors to the point that the core nearly overloaded.

Captain Gaucho: Well can you spare a few men to assist them.

Lt. Commander Costello: I think so but I need to get our engines stabilized first.

Captain Gaucho: Alright do it as soon as you can then. Lt. Hunter, send this transmission to Starfleet:

This is Captain Gaucho. We have regained the Unity and are working to get her propulsion systems back up. The Orion ships kept going as soon as we knocked the Unity out of warp which was odd but the entire Unity crew has been accounted for. Also I'd advise sending a ship out to the Defiant's last position to ensure that the ship and her crew are alright. The message we got from them as we passed by was disturbing and I fear that they may have been infiltrated. Also it appeared that they had lost all primary power so they have no way of defending themselves. We will contact you once the Unity has regained warp drive. Captain Gaucho out.

Lt. Hunter: The message has been sent.

Captain Gaucho: Drop from Red to Yellow Alert and keep our weapons online. Also make sure that the shields are ready to be brought up whenever needed. I’ll be in my ready room, John you have the bridge.

Lt. Sharma: "Our speed is reducing, our engines can't sustain this much warp for this long. She's catching us fast."

Ensign Eglise: "Message from Exeter, sir - brace for impact."

*Phaser shots tear into the engineering decks and shake the ship. Everyone on the bridge is jerked momentarily from side to side. A non-essential console with no obvious function - manned by a random cadet who is on the bridge for no apparent reason - shorts out and blows. At the next round of shots, the officers on the bridge lean suddenly to the left and nearly fall out of their chairs, but recover. The cadet is jerked violently from his station and dramatically flies across the screen.

Lt.Cmdr Avis: "I'll never understand why a hit anywhere on this ship causes consoles on the bridge to endure electrical explosions. Did we route every single point on the power grid right through the bridge? Damage report."

*Calculations are made and charts pulled up on screens as the Unity drops out of warp and begins to drift.

Adm. Statalyzer: "Good work, Captian Gaucho, you disabled our propulsion without disabling any other systems. . . .Medical report?"

Dr. Kuma: "The cadet who was on the bridge for no apparent reason suffered massive abrasions to his shoulder. Also, Cadet Not-Appearing-In-This-Show suffered a concussion. I can scan them with some bizarre futuristic-looking tools and they'll be fine."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Good work, doctor. Gaucho, would you be kind enough to give us a tow? I don't want to get to work on repairing our drive systems until we've found that mole."

THAT'S OUR GUY!!!

I'm 99% sure he's the one that was routing all of those viruses to StarFleet and our ships; you gotta catch him, he most likely knows about the other moles and viral executables as well!!!

Do you also specialize in any fields related to computers, networking, cyber-warfare, or anything similar? We've been having a rash of cyber-based attacks from an unknown source, and we have yet to get a single lead on the perpetrators.

Thus, if you can lend some help there, it would be appreciated!;)

Lt. Commander Seers: The pod is locked in our tractor beam.

Captain Gaucho: Alright, get a lock on the person inside the pod and prepare to beam him over. John, I want you to take a security team to transporter room 2, thats where we'll beam him aboard. Once we have him throw him in the brig, we'll question him later.

Lt. Commander Seers: Security team to transporter room 2, I'll meet you their.

Captain Gaucho: Once we have the pod in our shuttle bay we'll lock our tractor beams on the Unity and start towing it.

Lt. Commander Seers: Sir, we have the prisoner are on our way to the brig. We had to stun him with our phasers, luckily no one was injured.

Captain Gaucho: Make sure we keep at least 2 guards on him at all times. This is becoming one hell of a day.

Security on the Exeter was extremely inadequate and the prisoner captured has escaped somehow. Captain Gaucho, I recommend that you reprimand your security chief immediately and have him replaced. As for the escaped prisoner, we're tracking his movements as of now. NO ONE IS TO ATTEMPT A RETRIEVAL. If we can find out where he is going, than we can eliminate the source of the operation instead of the operative alone.

I've managed to hack into their database, and it does not look good. The Ganymede base is heavily fortified, with several powerful cannons and they seem to have taken possesion of a number of Scorpion class tanks. On top of that, it is defended with an electromagnetic shield which can deflect any projectile: bullets, phasers, missiles, etc. I have taken extensive stealth training (by stealth training I mean playing Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell a million times :p), so with your permission I would like to infiltrate the base and power down their defenses so that Ricko's armada can destroy it.

Adm. Keen Statalyzer: "Alright ladies and gentlemen, I've called this tactical conference because of some new developments that make our situation more interesting. Every one of you will need to give some input here."

Cmdr. Svetlana Krasnodar (Ex. Officer): "I made a routine review of our transporter log and discovered that while Exeter was blasting our shields and the Orion frigates broke off contact, one individual onboard our ship beamed over to a frigate even though our shields were up. Perhaps this was the mole, and he escaped?"

Lt.Cmdr Hil Avis (Operations): "Therefore, he must have known our shield frequency by looking into our ship's computer. We are therefore not only still dead in space, but we have to face the possibility of attack by ships that know our shield frequency."

Lt. Ravin Sharma (Engineering): "Obviously, the main thing to do is divert all personnel who can be spared to engineering, to get the engines online as quickly as possible and get out of here."

Lt. Takao Kuma (Medical): "The mole's best chance to defeat us is from within. We must make sure he didn't affect anything on board with toxins or diseases."

Lt.Cmdr Mitchell Axon (Weapons): "The first order of business is to make sure all our weapon systems can run off backup systems in case the mole shuts down our main computer again."

Lt. Abigail Williams (Sciences): "We should run a scientific analysis to see if we have any oddly-named particles that can mask the trail of our ship, making us difficult to locate."

Lt. James Boren (Security): "None of that can be done safely until we beef up security to make sure there isn't another mole on the loose somewhere."

Ens. Pierre Eglise (Communications): "We need to contact Starfleet for assistance."

Lt. Julius Malcom (Helm): "I have nothing to suggest, the helm is useless without power."

Ship's counselor, wearing skin-tight spandex: "What the hell am I doing in a tactical meeting?"

Adm. Statalyzer: "Why don't we just remodulate our shields to a new frequency? Make it so. Dismissed."

SgtRicko

Alright, everybody. We've got some new ships, new weapons, and fresh faces, so I suppose it's time to get on the offensive again.

Intelligence believes that the mole we were having all those problems with headed to the moon of Ganymede shortly after his escape. Sensors show that there have been no ships leaving the moon recently, so we can assume that he's still there. We also believe that this moon is where all the Orion's local comm relays and systems responsible for hacking us are located at, so this means that the destruction of this base will pretty much end any cyber attacks on the Federation.

However, the moon has been pretty well fortified with several ground-based mass driver cannons, along with three platoons of Scorpion class tanks and what appears to be about a company's worth of hired guns and such. There are also various other defenses in place as well (mainly a small missile battery and a group of anti-infantry turrets on the base's flanks), but we can't be sure as to the full extent of these defenses until we actuall commit to the attack and see it for ourselves.

The base also has an electromagnetic shield which can deflect any projectile: bullets, phasers, missiles, etc. Thus, we''ll have to send in a spec-ops team first to power down the shields so as to make an attack possible. So far, Chaos and I have signed up for this part, but any additional help, particularly in the form of a heavy weapons specialist or somebody with REALLY good tank busting skills, would be appreciated.

Once Ganymede's shield's go down, the orbital bombardment shall begin, at which point all ground forces will be whisked away to safety from the bombardment. At this point, the mission's probably going to be over pretty soon, since the area doesn't seem to have any Orion ships around with the exception of the ones that escorted the mole away. Oh, and as for the mole... take him alive if possible, but otherwise, don't concern yourself for his safety: I doubt he'll tell us anything valuable even if interrogated.

The attack will begin tomorrow at 12:00 hours. Therefore, anyone who's going to participate in this operation better prep up, cause it's going to be a while before you'll be able to rest again.

Seargent Major Ricko out.

Sir I have decided to send a hard copy of part of my report insure the maximum best chance of this not falling into the wrong hands. I will meet you personally when I get there. Time stamp, before we left Pluto.

Report on the outpost

The outpost was here to keep an eye on this solar system and to make sure a military threat does not come up. I believe if it was not for the outpost being wiped out, we would not have been able to reach the technological level we are at now.

All the data at the outpost is still there. No one bothered to wipe out the data core. Granted part of it is encrypted but this definitely holds valuable information on the Orions. I believe even their home worlds location is in here. I am the only person who has this info. I insured that all data is transferred to me first for safekeeping.
_______________________________________
report about what happened to the outpost

What we have been able to gather is this was an Orion outpost. Looks like the outpost has been abandoned more on the lines of 500 years ago. The scary part is there are still bodies in here. Some of them looked like they died on the spot and others from weapons fire. Some areas where locked from the inside. Something happened here and from the remaining records we have found, it sounded like a type of disease that affected the mind and made the victim homicidal. The disease incubation period is around 22 hours.

The disease, as far as they could figure out, came from an asteroid that hit near the outpost and the Orions brought it in for study. The scientists where naturally first and basically went crazy and started trying to kill the rest of the outpost. A military force was dispatched to detain the rogue scientist and they where locked up. From there the situation went downhill until 2 months later everyone but the commander was left alive. Through his have crazed mind he managed to keep up with his reports until he died of starvation 1 year later.

The disease spreads through fluid contact and breath. Sir the disease is still there. Fortunately we where able to detect the disease before it spread onboard. See when the disease is in the air, it actually glows with an unnaturally green tint. Deso’s crew came after we discovered this so as far as we know, Deso’s crew is clean. We have taken the strictest measure to insure it does not get onboard. The crew began to call the disease “Space craze” I think the name is a good one since it seems to be able to survive in space.

Adm. Statalyzer: "Wait, that was an insult, not an order!"

*There is a large power surge as all the lights in the ship turn off and come back on weakly.*

Dr. Kuma (on comm): "Sickbay here, I detected a power surge. Do I need to resusitate any electric shock victims?"

Adm. Statalyzer: "Affirmative."

Dr. Kuma: "I hope his brain power wasn't permanently damaged."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Don't worry, we wouldn't know the difference anyway."

*The repaired Unity and Alliance meet at the Rendezvous point with SgtRicko's men. Ricko and Statalyzer discuss the invasion on the bridge of Unity*

Adm. Statalyzer: "Two ships may not be enough for this operation. Ensign Eglise, send out a general subspace message: 'All ships within 12 hours of our location at warp are ordered to join the Admiral's ships to prepare for planetary bombardment.' Can we afford to delay the attack any longer than that, Ricko?"

Lt.Cmdr Axon: "Final offensive status run-through indicates everything is functional."

Lt. Sharma: "The damage in engineering wasn't able to be repaired completely, but there are no major flaws. Gaucho and his crew know their stuff - they hit us just perfectly to shut down the warp engines with the least amount of permanent damage possible. We'll still need to dock for repairs, but we can procede with the operation."

Ensign Eglise: "Message sent, Admiral. I still can't isolate that last transmission from Ein, there is too much distortion to assertain exactly where it came from."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Very well. After this invasion is over Unity will head to Yokosuka Naval Yard for repairs while Alliance takes the "twins" with her to search for Ein and attempt to locate the ship on long range sensors and scan for the source of the problem. Contact Cochrane and Copernicus with this information."

Ensign Eglise: "Yes sir."

In all honesty, all we really need is just three starships so as to deal with the three escorts that took the mole to Ganymede, and to commence the bombardment once my team kills the shields and missile defense.

But hey, the more the merrier!;)

(BTW, the attack can wait as long as no ships take off from Ganymede. The whole reason why we're doing this is to take out the Orion's last remaining foward base and capture (or kill) the mole who launched the cyber attacks and sabotaged our ships).

well since i been kind of AWOL a little too long, I've decided to take the remains of lost ships, both former enemy and allied ships from past battles with many being in various states of repair, as I do have a job as the main cleaning man, it will take some time to put together a few ships using spare parts found along the way, and send the rest of the spare parts to commanders who may need them. sovietmisaki out.
P.S some of the spare parts include engines for enterprise class sized ships, and will use my space freighter to bring the equipment.

Alright everyone -- as of now, the assault on Ganymede shall commence!

First, me and two of my squads will be dropped 10 km NW outside of the Orion base and will travel to the top of the nearby plateau. Once there, we will use it’s elevation to recon the area and also place three portable artillery guns so as to create a distraction when needed. Meanwhile, another team will land 7 km SE of the base in a deep ravine, in which they will use to stealthily travel to the base and bypass the minefields on the flanks of the base.

When my squads are done, we will then wait for the second team to quietly infiltrate the base through the ravine and attempt to find any way to deactivate the mines and possibly the automated anti-infantry defenses. They can do this by either by hacking into the defense net (and possibly even overriding control of the defenses to our side) or by destroying the power grid’s connection to the defenses so as to cripple or outright disable some of the turrets. The team will then exit the base and sabotage the Scorpion tanks if possible, and then escape to the ravine and meet with my teams.

Once that is done, the assault proper will begin as we start to fight our way through the (hopefully) deactivated minefield, taking out any of the anti-starship guns on the way while the artillery we placed earlier will provide a distraction/cover for our forces until we reach the base. Once inside, we must then fight our way to the mainframe room and see if we can recover any data related to the Orion’s cyber-warfare attacks and acts of sabotage by the mole along with anything else in those databanks of theirs. If we’re lucky, we may even run into the mole in there; if we do, we’ll attempt to bring him in alive (though I hope you’ll understand if he ends up getting killed in the ensuing firefights).

The infiltration team should have fought their way to the shield generator itself by this point. All they have to do is just take down the damn thing by means necessary (.i.e. BLOW IT STRAIGHT TO FREAKIN HELL!!!), so that shouldn’t be too hard unless the Orion Mercs wise up to us. If so, I’ll try to speed up the op in the mainframe room so we can assist. Finally, our teams will gather up and head to the power generators to the whole base and destroy those as well, if the opportunity arises.

And as soon as the shields and defenses go down, we’ll head to the hangars and signal for evac, which is where the starships will come in. All they’ll have to do is just beam us the hell out of there and then finally commence the bombardment of the base. Once that’s done, its Mission accomplished, boys!

WARNING: The Orion’s three escort ships are still somewhere in the area, so be warned!

--COMMENCE THE OPERATION!!!

Four hours later...

This is Ricko to Fleet: we have successfully landed, and are setting up the portable artillery guns on the plateau as we speak. Charlie team will contact you shortly on their progress in the ravine…

Charlie Leader: Roger that, we’re A-OK here as well. Ran into an Orion probe droid, but we managed to find a Wookie to blast the thing before it made that odd loud bleepy noise it makes. Expect little resistance from the outside from what we’ve seen so far. We’ll contact you when we’ve completed the current objective, over…

Thirty Minutes Later…

Charlie Team Leader: Alright, we’re past the base perimeter. Encountered a couple of the mercs and Orions on the way to the objective, but managed to take them out quietly enough. Basically on the final stretch here, sorta. Just got to get past the next room and down the staircase; that might be a bit of a problem, since the staircase has a camera and there happens to be a break room just to the left of it (which seems to be pretty occupied)… gonna have to improvise here…

*The team leader pauses to think*

Charlie Team Leader: Alright. Vick, you got a flash bang?

Cpr. Vick: Sure do.

Charlie Team Leader: Good. Think you can toss it just above the camera’s viewpoint?

Cpr. Vick: I could try… not an easy arc, though…

Charlie Team Leader: Kenneth, I want you to sneak up to the camera and disable it at the exact same moment Vick throws the flash bang, but also make sure to do it BEFORE the flash bang goes off; afterwards, I’ll go in and silence ‘em. Got it? Okay, on the count of three, two, one… GO!

*Vick throws the flash bang successfully into the room, while Kenneth disrupts the connection of the camera just in time before the flash bang went off*

Charlie Team Leader: Okay now for the kill!

*Charlie Team Leader goes in with the team and quietly subdues the whole room while they were still stunned from the flash bang*

Charlie Team Leader: …And I think that’s the last guy. Alright, should be a straight shot to the Defense Grid’s control room from here on.

Cpr. Vick: And here comes the nasty part…

Charlie Team Leader: Guns at the ready boys, eliminate anyone in the control room, LETS GO!

Orion Guard: We've just received information that a massive Federation attack is imminent. Radar has already detected three starships in orbit or approaching. If they find out what's in these computers, we're fragged. Let's take 'em out!

Scorch: One flame broiled tank crew, coming right up!

Lt.Cmdr. Avis: "Negative, Commander. My guess is they know we're up here and are either staying away or else are trapped on the planet's surface knowing if they try and take off and leave we'll find them and blast them."

Ensign Eglise: "Still no reply from any of the fleet, Admiral."

Adm. Statalyzer: "How can there not be any ships within 12 hours of this place? We're in our own solar system! How can I be Fleet Admiral if I don't even know where my own fleet is?"

Lt. Williams: "Nothing to worry about, sir, it appears to be gravitronic fluctuations caused by the unstable remains of Jupiter as the debris cloud collapses into itself."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Is it possible that the Orion escorts are hiding inside that cloud?"

Lt. Williams: "It's possible sir, but they'd have no way to scan outside the cloud or communicate with home base, so they'd have no way of knowing we are here."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Still, they could escape by exiting the opposite side of the cloud. Send a probe inside, when it gets back to us we should have a better idea what the inside of that thing looks like."

Lt. Williams: "Aye aye, sir, contacting Lt. Kuma in medical."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Why don't you just send the probe out yourself?"

History of the Mech Worlds (original warp side 'balanced')

Mech Worlds was a cyborg creation created on a planet with little supply for the mechanical species to evolve and develop, choice to destroy them by a creator who was too caution and was suspicious about everything....

The species was supposed to fight back against the creators enemies, and become the new police force of the galaxy, but the project ended after many tamperings with the files, and the creators race was destroyed by the borg,

The creatures of machine adapted and made modular mechanisms to show the planet had life that needed to be rescued, and eventually they were, and released onto a large planetary system where they expanded and started off as a trade union seeking pieces to add to themselves, and they made their own hollow planet that possesed technology to manufactor the species, they were becoming quite powerful and they ran into the borg, who they fought off deeper away, when they anchored their planet away, the system was overun, and taken, destroyed, and borgzessed, until the swarn enemy of the borg returned to swipe them away...

The Fuzors, as they were called, colonized three mechular planets near the galaxies surrounding earth, to explore and expand, but they found themselves in the middle of a war, and tryed to think of what was right, and aided the Terran Federation, against the Orions, only ot be betrayed by the Terran federation, a covert operationalist used persuasion to get the allies of the Orions to take down the commanding ship, and unveil a new weapon, the rift generator, afterwards, their planetary destructor took down the first mech planet, and then another, they used a new scope enhancer ray to make the range furthen as the last planet skewed away, and missed...

The Fuzors took revenge upon the weapon, took it, and left , only to be destroyed by a cover up by the same covert op before, attacked with the rift generator, which had become more powerful, the warp drill warped out at the ships destruction, and launched this message pod, the Imformant, and the warp drill tore a hole into another universe, where the mirror world of the Fuzors, where they were called teh Aviators, to deliver the message of plea to the commander of the region, Lord Mk the 3rd

Adm. Statalyzer: "Yes, we concluded he was the mole."

Lt.Cmdr Avis: "Well, I was reviewing the incident to prepare a report for Starfleet, and I found out that Cadet Harris' lifesigns vanished from the ship aproximately 30 seconds before the transporter was activited. "

Ensign Eglise: "I also reviewed our communication logs and found evidence of erased data. It turns out someone from our ship contacted the frigate saying "He's dead, prepare to beam up his body."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Are you telling me the mole is still on board the ship, and he killed Harris and beamed him over to make it look like Harris was the mole?"

Lt.Cmdr Avis: "It would appear so. We're resuming full security and investigating."

Ensign Eglise: "Message from the President sir: "Eagle to fleet, fire at will!"

Lt.Cmdr. Axon: "Sir, I can't lock the weapons! What the hell?"

*Eagle, Enterprise, and Alliance send spreads of torpedoes towards the Outpost, while the firepower of Unity remains dormant.*

Lt.Cmdr. Axon: "Somebody disabled the weapon lock by remote - ah ha! The bastard apparently doesn't know how to mask a signal though, it's coming from deck 7 section B4."

Lt. Boren: "I'm already on it, security to deck 7 lift ASAP. We've got him now!"

Adm. Statalyzer: "Mitchell is there anything you can do about the weapons in the meantime?"

Lt.Cmdr. Axon: "If we set up a computer link with Alliance, I should be able to manually target our phasers by copying the coordinates from her tracking computer."

*Unity's phasers join the bombardment. Soon the 4 ships have reduced the compound to rubble.*

Lt. Boren: "Bridge look out, the mole is headed for you!"

*A door opens and a man runs in, dodging a phaser shot coming from behind him. The mole turns around and shoots, easily dispatching a crewman in a red shirt, then blasts a control panel, causing an explosion which sends Lt. Malcom and The Admiral to the floor. "Death to the Terrans!" is his last words as simultaneous shots from Axon and Boren terminate him.

*Lt. Malcom has some electrical burns on his arm but is otherwise alright. Adm. Statalyzer, unconscious, is beamed directly to sickbay.*

Dr. Kuma: "This looks bad folks, some sort of extra-dimensional electric pulse has shut off most of his brain signals, I can probably keep him alive in a coma but that's it. We've got to get him to a medical station pronto! I'd recommend Dr. Yorkie, she's the best the Federation has."

Cmdr. Krasnodar: "Quick, to earth!"

Mirror Side of Universe Tape

The Fuzors as they were known in the regular time flow here were called the Aviators, created near same say in the other universe, but were unruly and killed their creature, and took his ship to be in silence from the worlds that they stood no chance against,

The species that were rather powerful against the borg had taken them seriously down, and the Avaitors observed them, they learned the secrets to survive, and conquer, so they quickly took over the collective, to create Mech Worlds, easily one of the most feared ring of nine planets in many galaxies, they grew powerful and conquered,

The Terran Federation was unjust and destroyed those who wouldn't join them, and the clash between the Aviators and the Federation began, and since earlier links between the universe was already in place, they had farther advanced technology than other dimensions, and they were stuck in war,

A planetary destruction weapon was given as a 'seal of truce' between the Fuzors and the Aviators, and the Aviators dominated, the Aviators in question will soon strike down the Terran Federation and Orions, prepare to be terminated

A lot has happened since last transmission and since I made sure that no one can track me down by following the message I am sure some of you are worried. Well you should be. I don't have much time so let me be brief. The disease that we found somehow escaped containment and affected most of the crew. Once the first symptoms was discovered, I ordered a complete lock down of ship except for life support. By the time I placed the entire crew in quarantine, it was too late. Luck was on our side by the fact the disease does not do as much damage to humans as it did to the Orions. Surprisingly enough, even electronics are effected. It seems to be able to basically short circuit anything. But from I can gather, the stronger the current, the less likely for the disease to survive.

The result is most of my crew is either dead or permanently disabled. I too was affected but came out of it will little damage. The remaining crew that can do some good is working around the clock to keep the ship running. Even though we disease has passed through us, I believe it is still on the ship and until we can find a vaccine we are still under quarantine. I have sent our position along with this message just in case.

All data essentially indicates that all Orion activity has effectively ended within our solar system… all remaining Orion starships were ordered to leave within the month… the Ganymede base was to be the last to evacuate as it was tasked as acting as an early warning sensor net against us…

…There is a confirmation that there indeed is an inside financial source within the Terran Federation, most likely a private company involved in the nano recorder production business… True level of corruption uncertain, though speculated to be rather moderate to high… There are only three people involved in this inside source, this is confirmed due to a payload signed by an Orion ship captain that corresponds to the serial # of several missing shipments of nano recorders… suspected that the insiders may be giving away the info and/or location of the ships carrying the nano recorders so as to allow the Orion pirate units to easily track and attack them… Reason(s) for stealing such items unknown…

…On subject of Don Vaklu… suspected head of Orion pirate groups and other various illicit activities in this region of space No data available on age, or appearance, though definitely male, often with an escort of Orion slave girls at his side… Confirmed money link to the slave trade in the Hesita system… Confirmed traces to laundered money and bank accounts… significant ties to the criminal underworld… Strongly linked to the mole within StarFleet… may very well have hired him… Subject overall value: HIGH

…Status of “Warp Drill” weapon is most likely under Orion R&D…

…The Orions also seemed to be experimenting on a sort of biological weapon of sorts, capable of affecting anything that has a significant level of electromagnetic activity within, ranging from organics to mechanical systems… Unknown whether it is a virus, bacteria, or possibly a form of spore… Whether the bio weapon is originally their own creation is unknown, but the data gathered seems to suggest that it may be a foreign agent even to them… data summary below…

Codename: ‘Star Rage’

Bio-safety Class Required: 5

Symptoms: Fever, headache, nausea, gradual loss of motor control, and eventually a total loss of sanity, sometimes death

Incubation Period: N/A
NOTE: the bio weapons’ effects are extremely rapid: within 20-30 minutes, a subject can go from completely healthy to uncontrollably insane and ill)

Infection Potential: EXTREME

(This virus sounds REAAAAL familiar… I think this might be what the team at Pluto encountered!)

Well, that was a damn long report -- 38 pages of info, all of it pretty juicy and vital, that’s a good thing. But did anyone notice the utter lack of a report on the ship that destroyed Jupiter some time ago? I mean jeez, the data had info on all kinds of readings and scans collected over the months by the Orions, yet there isn’t a single drip of data related to it! Why didn’t they have it???

The wherabouts of the Orion leader are currently unknown, and they are not listed in the data that I managed to extract from the Ganymede outpost. And since it's now nothing more than ash, there's not much more I can learn from there. Oh, and it may have been obvious, but the attack on Jupiter was both planned and launched from that base. But yeah, like Ricko said, there isn't a shred of intel that's related to the ship that actually did it.

The Asclepius is making rendezvous with the damaged FSS Hathaway, and our science staff will attempt to identify and study the Star Rage pathogen so we don't risk our own ship and crew if we commence an evacuation of the Hathaway. I'll keep high command informed on what we find, and once fully dissected, we can most likely start producing a vaccine back on Earth.

Daishi, one warning, make sure your men stay in suits at all times.

EDIT:After a clean bill of health, I am taking the Hathaway off duty for refit and repair and to replaced some crew members, this should take about a week. (Good way to explain my vacation)

Captain Gaucho: (Captain comes over the shipwide comm system) Well now that we arrived at spacedock I am now commanding everyone to take a little R&R while the ship is being given minor repairs and refits. Only officers that I deem are necessary can stay. I need time to get a report gathered up for president Nilsog and Admiral Stat so I will be here until the rest of the crew has left the ship. If you need me I'll either be on the bridge, in my ready room, or in my quarters. That is all. ( Comm shuts off) Now then time to get my report gathered up. Commander you have the bridge.

Commander Sims: Yes sir. Well people lets start getting packed up.

Commander Ein, It appears that your crew is disastrously sick, but we have discovered the pathogen has no way to penetrate our hazmats. We're going to put your vessel under quarantine. Since we cannot risk infection of the Asclepius's systems, I've called in a few tugboats to bring you to Starbase 401. The good news is we've developed a serum that should reverse the disease's progress on the crew, and it will be made ready for it at the station.
On a side note, the pathogen's capacity to attack and disable a ship's systems is still a mystery to us. Our science department is on it, but I can't promise an answer. Until then, your ship cannot be refit, though your crew may be healthy.

...

Oh dear... our impulse engine will not respond, though it's fully functional, and our structural integrity field is at 80%. I can only assume the worst, we've also been infected, and most likely through the transporter. Fortunately since our communications are still active, I'll send a distress call. We've got two ships to be towed... we're going to start sanitation a bit early today.

Sorry for the delay in bringing news of Adm. Statalyzer but it was touch and go for a while and I really didn't want to bring any news that might harm moral so now he is totally out of danger and should be able to return to his ship later today providing he only tends to light duties.

The cause of the problems was a serious virus which took us a while to diagnose, we have it on record now so if there are any more cases such as this we will be a step ahead.

*Unity rendezvous with Alliance*

Adm. Statalyzer: "Glad to be back, looks like the whole darn fleet decided to get sick as soon as I couldn't keep my eye it while I was busy getting sick. Did anybody ever supply Yorkie with that extra Smirnoff Ice?"

Lt. Williams: "Approximately 75% of the Smirnoff was successfully transported to its destination."

Adm. Statalyzer: "What happened to the other 25%?"

Lt. Williams: "It was taken and consumed while the person in charge of transporting it was resting."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Taken and consumed?"

Lt. Williams: "Yes sir, the shuttlecraft had landed and the pilot was resting before loading the cases onto the transporter, and during this time 25% of the Smirnoff was removed from the cases by some thirsty soul who drank the Smirnoff but left the empty bottles."

Adm. Statalyzer: "That's amazing, I ordered an entire cargo load of that stuff. To be able to drink that much of it - besides you I can't think of anyone dumb enough that they wouldn't suffer greatly from losing so many brain cells. Who was piloting the shuttlecraft at this time?!"

Lt. Williams: "I was."

Adm. Statalyzer: "And you fell asleep while guarding it?"

Lt. Williams: "No sir, I was resting - relaxing with a nice sip of cold refreshing...uh...liquid."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Well, don't let it happen again."

Commander Sims: Sir, about 75% of the crew is off on shore leave and the rest is being reluctant, wanting to stay and help.

Captain Gaucho: Tim did we enter the Jupiter cloud before or after the Enterprise?

Commander Sims: !?!?!? Uhh sir, did you here what I said?

Captain Gaucho: Yes I did, do you remember the officers I said that could stay.

Commander Sims: No I don't, sir.

Captain Gaucho: Only the Senior Officers.

Commander Sims: Ohh ok. And to answer your question it was after the Enterprise.

Greetings citizens! I am speaking to you from the Pegasus Galaxy, which is Very Far Away. I have learnt much on my voyage with my alien benefactors, whom are incredibly advanced, however I have learnt little of any practical use. It's mostly been 'universal understanding' type stuff complete with phrases that sound very meaningful but in actuality are meaningless nonsense. Eg: 'The orchestra play perfectly, but are silent in character'.

My attempts to get a peek at the specs of their intergalactic hyperdrive have so far met with failure. I can only hope when I reach 'true enlightenment' they will give me all their cool stuff.

The tugboats have arrived and are hauling the FSS Hathaway and its crew to Starbase 401 for quarantine. There is a problem, though. We cannot risk the station's infection until we can learn more about the virus's ability to damage a ship's systems, so physical contact, even in via transporter, is out of the question. In the meantime, we can supply the Hathaway with freshly developed antibiotics, straight from Earth.

The Asclepius is staying put... the tugboats will come back for us when they drop off the Hathaway.

The Asclepius's medical and engineering department are right now searching for a method to kill the virus as it infects a ship's systems. Overload seems the most viable option, as it kills the pathogens without fail and should only require a few weeks of refit to restore optimum efficiency. It's the best we can do since computers don't have immune systems.

Daishi, does your ship run on bio-neural circuitry (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Bio-neural_circuitry)? If it does, you might want to consider deliberaltely increasing the ship's temperature to about 120+ degrees farenheit so as to kill the Star Rage virus. I'm not sure if it will work entirely, but I think its worth a try, no?

There seems to be an interesting side effect from this virus or 'space craze' as I call it. It seems like after the virus runs it course, it changes the brain to a certain degree. *RESEARCH REPORT TRANSMITTED FROM FSS COCHRANE.*

The Jupiter cloud is getting unstable, our ships have had to leave. The entire planet apparently broke down at the microscopic level - individual atoms split apart all over the planet. It wasn't a typical fission reaction where a few atoms split and the pieces run into other atoms which split, etc - Jupiter isn't made out of fissile material anyway. Some large field passed through the area causing atoms all over the planet to break apart simultaneously. The radiation here is unprecedented and we had trouble getting readings.

We aren't really sure how such an energy field could be created without defying the laws of physics, but we did find that all ships passing through the cloud will absorb trace amounts of unusual quantum particles that slowly fade away. It's possible that whatever ship destroyed Jupiter left a trail, but there are so many trails criss-crossing the area that we can't tell which is which. The trail looks the same for every ship including our own 4 ships which have manuevered all over and masked other trails.

We can't continue researching unfortunately, due to the gravitron fluctuations.

Station Commanding Officer: We just received an urgent transmission from President Nilsog. It reads

"Enterprise to any Fede....ion Sta...........jammin....ignal....unmanned drone carrying prototype....rage virus.....Earth....Admiral Statalz....Red Alert!..."

Captain Gaucho: Have you tried scanning for an unmanned prob?

Station Officer 1: Sir I believe the prob that we are referring to is the one that the president went to investigate. After determining its telemetry, I found that it is heading towards earth.

Station Officer 2: Also it appears to have come from President Nilsogs last known location.

Captain Gaucho: Alright, put the repairs on standby. We're going after them.

Station Commanding Officer: Sorry but once we've started, even if we were to stop, it wouldn't do any good because we've already started to

Captain Gaucho: I understand. Is their a ship within range?

Station Officer 1: The only ones in range are Captain Ein and his group, and Admiral Stat. Unfortunately Ein and his ships have been contaminated by this unknown virus and comm to Adm. Stat is hard due to the increasing radiation from the Jupiter Cloud.

Captian Gaucho: Send a sub-space transmission to them, they'll receive it after they exit the radiation interference. What about the FSS Ranger NCC-27918?

Station Commanding Officer: Hey what are the stats on the Ranger.

Station Officer 2: She is about 75% complete. While the outer hull and most of the inner hull are complete, she has no weapons, no shielding, the deflector is at minimum operational status. Also the impulse drive is down as well as the warp drive.

Captain Gaucho: How long till the impulse and warp engines can be brought online?

Station Commanding Officer: I know what you're thinking but no.

Captain Gaucho: Give me a time.

Station Officer 2: If they rush it, maybe 3 days for the impulse and an extra 4 days for the warp engines. Even if they were ready the hull isn't even near ready to fly yet.

Captain Gaucho: Alright either get me the Ranger or get me the Exeter, I don't care which but we need to do something. We have to intercept that prob before it gets anywhere near Earth.

Station Commanding Officer: I'll see what I can do.

***PRIOTITY TRANSMISSION TO ALL FEDERATION STARSHIPS***

This is President Nilsog, aboard the FSS Enterprise.

I am putting the entire Federation on a state of high alert. While investigating the drone carrying the virus, 3 starships decloaked. They appeared to be of Romulan make, we did not make contact with them as they fired upon us. Even after taking moderate damage with our shields down, I am glad to say the Ambassador class starship is formidable in battle. We were able to destroy two of the vessels and the third cloaked and withdrew. Due to the current state of affairs with the Romulan Star Empire, I have no option but execute General Order 37- All starships encountering Vessels that seem to be of Romulan origin are to go to red alert and send a subspace distress signal immediatly. I will be dispatching an envoy to Romulan space as soon as possible to determine why this has happened.

As for the drone, we currently have it in tow, although our engines are disabled. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as we are still sitting ducks here.

Captain Gaucho, I want you to take some of the engines from my Marine Assault Ships. Currently, they're just sitting around doing nothing, so you might as well strip 'em of the engines and use them until you're done. Just make sure to return them, alright?;)

NOTE: The engines aren't going to be exeptionally fast or maneuverable -- their usual top speed is warp six, and since your ship is more demanding in terms of energy needed, I'm guessing that you won't be able to go that fast. Just thought you should know that.

Captain Gaucho: Come again.

Station Commander: We got a transmission from the Enterprise saying that 3 ships appeared: but from cloak. They also appeared to be Romulan in Origin. They decloaked by the ship that Enterprise was intercepting and opened fire on the Enterprise.

Cmdr Krasnodar: "Can we confirm that is the Enterprise?"

Lt.Cmdr. Avis: "No, sir, there is interference from some sort of energy radiating out from the probe."

Ensign Eglise: "The interference is also preventing us from establishing communications."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Helm, maximum impulse towards their position. Hil, is there anything you can assertain about our ship?"

Lt.Cmdr Avis: "Propulsion appears to be non-functional. Life signs are faint but this might be due to interference. She has her shields up but their strength is unknown. I'm sending a scan of the interference to Science Officer Williams."

[A few minutes later]

Lt. Williams: "Portals on the surface of the probe appears to contain gasseous forms of the Rage Virus, sir. I can't tell if it's got any weaponry - the energy effect that it's projecting appears to slowly drain all shielding in it's radius."

Lt. Cmdr Axon: "Sir, our vessel is unleashing maximum phaser fire against the drone. . . . with apparently no effect whatsoever. It doesn't even appear to have shields raised!"

Adm. Statalyzer: "Well, at the very least we can give them 3 more targets to distract them. Signal Alliance and Farragut to follow me towards the drone and tell the frigates to see if they can aid our damaged vessel. Pierre, try to contact them through the interference."

Lt. Hunter: Message sent.

Lt. Commander Seers: Sir shouldn't we ask the Admiral if he received the Enterprises transmission, because we don't know if he received it because he was so close to the Jupiter cloud.

http://images.wikia.com/memoryalpha/en/images/4/4d/Constitution_class_refit_torpedo.jpg

*Exeter's torpedo actually richochet's off the hull of the probe and explodes in empty space.*

Commander Kransodar: "This is ridiculous, firing at this machine is about as effective as bashing through a stone wall with our head. How can any armor be that strong?"

*The probe's weapon recharges and blasts the Enteprise again.*

Lt.Cmdr. Avis: "Sir, although the design of the probe is Orion, the composite materiel of the hull seems of Maran origin. Metallic substances from that system are known for attaining incrediblely high energy states when excited by certain plasmas."

Lt. Williams: "Now I understand - the high energy of the metal itself IS effectively an integrated energy shield, that's why we can't penetrate it. It would also explain why they have to recharge their weapon for so long before firing. Using that much power too often would drain too much energy from the hull."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Any theory on how to exploit this?"

Lt. Williams: "No idea sir, I'll send the data to the fleet."

*The probe fires once more, sending Farragut careening through the radiation field.*

Johnson: uh we don't have that capability

Ein: Oh yeah, fine then max warp speed to the Enterprises last known location.

Medic: The virus?

Ein: No matter, we will figure that out once we get there.

*Incoming transmission from the Hathaway*
We are coming to ur aid. though we can only do so much since we are undermanned and quarantined. Better tell your men to get into suits so we can transfer them over. The virus seems to be unable to penetrate the space suits.

Daishi
08-24-2007, 07:59 PM
Ein, you idiot... if it was unable to pass through space suits, we on the Asclepius wouldn't be awaiting our own refit right now. You're still in quarantine at base, and last I asked, your propulsion systems weren't working properly, so you're staying right where you are. The most you can do is obey the doctor's orders and stay put.

I know it's painful, but understand that anything you do except aborting that last order of yours can do nothing to help the Enterprise, and will certainly hurt the Hathaway. Just wait until the refit's over, your men are mostly fit for duty.

Very well...

Your ship, for the most part, is clean. We're targeting specific areas of the ship now and eliminating every infection. We'll need to replace some parts that our overload "treatment" has damaged, and it seems the infection is specific to the bio-neural circuitry you've been testing. Good news is engineering can vaccine your ship (and all other recently commissioned ships) against Star Rage by replacing a few key systems with older hardware, and we'll also construct resistors between the new (old) and old (new) parts. Your engineers won't know the difference, and you'll be able to isolate and eliminate anything we might have missed with an overload without risking severe damage. ;)

All this should take about 48 hours, if we rush. Then we can let you go and start curing the Asclepius.

*beep*
Admiral Statalyzer, just letting you know that Starfleet's engineers can protect ships against Star Rage now. A two-day refit at your local Starbase might have some tactical benefits.

*Ambassador class starship Excalibur arrives on the scene, in the nick of time*

This is Trevorrex to fleet! The aliens I went cruising with dropped me off at Earth when I heard about the situation with the probe, they gave me a prototype for an advanced weapon called a Tricolbalt torpedo. It will be fired out of range of the probe's power dampening field and will home in on the probes exhaust trail.
Lieutenant Bob, fire!

*Excalibur fires the blue tricolbalt torpedo, which instantly homes in on the probe, which tries to evade. The torpedo successfully detonates within 1 mile of the probe*

Scanners report the probe has suffered damage, it's stabilisation and reflective shield systems are suffering power loss.....this may be our only chance, all ships target the probe and OPEN FIRE!

Captain Gaucho: You heard Trevorrex, lock on weapons and Fire!
( The fleet fires weapons at the probe and completely destroys it)

Lt. Commander Seers: There is no sign of the prob, but there appears to be some residual radiation left by the probs field.

Captain Gaucho: Will we be able to get a tractor beam lock on the Enterprise?

Lt. Commander Seers: We should be able to.

Captain Gaucho: Ensign take us in at half impulse. Be ready to get the Enterprise with our tractor beam.

Ensign Reeves: We're approaching the Enterprise.

Lt. Commander Seers: Almost within range.... I got her.

Commander Sims: Alright, lets leave at half impulse.

Lt. Commander Seers: The tractor beam is starting to destabilize.

Captain Gaucho: Are we moving to fast?

Lt. Commander Sims: I think this radiation is just having to much of a destabilization effect on the tractor beam.

Captain Gaucho: Continue at this speed and do your best to keep them in tow.

Lt. Commander Sims: Alright we're out.

Commander Sims: Sickbay, get a medical team ready to go over to the Enterprise. Lt. Commander Costello prepare an engineering team for when we confirm that the conditions are safe. Seers, gather a security team together just in case there is an unknown threat on board. Security team will go over at the same time the medical team does. The engineering team will soon follow. Seers, have your team meet us in transporter room 2. I'm going over with you guys.

Lt. Commander Seers: They're on their way now and so are we.

*two days later*

I am pleased to announce I will be stepping down as President, so that Trevorrex may resume his position.

We are yet to confirm the virus was created by the Romulan Star Empire, but after nearly being destroyed by ships that sensors say are Romulan, and having a drone attempt to eradicate the inhabitants of Earth with a deadly virus, I don't believe it is possible to be too cautious.

We still are yet to contact the Romulan government... their motives are still unknown, so General Order 37 still stands.

The condition of Enterprise is serious, however, this was the Ambassador Class' trial by fire, and she performed excellently.

I have been informed that I shall not resume a postion in Starfleet's Admiralty, but will retain the rank of Captain, and command of the starship Enterprise.

I am awaiting the completion of repairs to Enterprise, once complete, I will be ready for orders, Admiral Statalyzer.

Trevorrex
08-25-2007, 08:54 PM
Yes, I believe the Federation is best served by Nilsog retaining the rank of Captain, a far more 'hands on' role. The Demotion Paddling Ceremony is complete, I expect you to exceed in your new role.

Alright people, we clearly need to contact the Romulans asap and get to the bottom of this. Production of tricolbalt torpedoes is to begin IMMEDIATELY and every ship in the fleet to be supplied with them.

This should protect us against any further probe attacks. Ambassador class sensor upgrades will be applied to every ship in the fleet to enhance long range combat operations.

Move people!

Captain Gaucho: (makes a ship wide announcement) Well we're back at spacedock. We got a few of the major refits done before we left to assist Nilsog so it won't take as long this time around. All crew are to stay and assist. The major issue will be upgrading the torpedo bays to fire the new tri-cobalt torpedoes, this will take the most time. So, I am sorry if you feel that your shore leave wasn't long enough but we do have an emergency situation with the Romulan Star Empire as a possible enemy, so the sooner we can get this ship finished, the sooner we can be out their finding the truth and preparing for a possible war.(ship wide announcement ends)

Commander Sims: Are you sure that a war could be upon us?

Captain Gaucho: I don't know for sure, but I rather be prepared for it than get caught by surprise. Also we need to find out how much longer till the rest of the Ambassador class ships come out, we're really going to be needing them.

Captain Gaucho: What's our current status on the refit?

Commander Sims: So far al we have left to do is ad the Tri-Cobalt Torpedo launcher.

Captain Gaucho: About how long will that take?

Commander Sims: According to the station it'll take around 3 days. Then we have to wait on the production of the torpedoes, which we're at the back of the pack right now since some of the Ambassador Class ships are coming off the conveyor belt.

Captain Gaucho: Do you have the Estimated Time till Completion on the Ranger.

Commander Sims: They say that it's going to be about 4 months, thats counting trials and tests.

Captain Gaucho: Alright. Also I got to see if they'll let me keep the Exeter under my command while being on the Ranger. Just assign a different crew to the Exeter. As a matter of fact, I think I'll go ask now.

Statalyzer
08-28-2007, 11:59 AM
Yes, Gaucho, take charge of the Ranger as well. It's built but still has some touching up and trials to complete first.

Nilsog - We were just attacked with no provocation by a Romulan Warbird. We lost the Farragut before we could withdraw. Unity stood a chance on her own and we still outnumbered him 2:1, but Alliance is not designed to slug it out with a ship of that class, and I was not willing to trade our lone experimental raider for an enemy vessel, even a more powerful one.

Lt. Boren: "What if we could trade some precious stones for an enemy vessel?"

Adm. Statalyzer: "That's not the kind of trade I was talking about."

Lt. Boren: "Could I trade my ex-wife for an enemy vessel?"

Dr. Kuma: [under his breath]: "If I were a woman, I'd have divorced Boren too."

Captain Nilsog reporting, all systems functioning normally. We have completed a routine patrol of Sector 001 and have found nothing out of the ordinary. While Myself, my Exec, Medical Officer, Science Officer and Ensign Ricky were on an away mission to Mars Colony, Ensign Ricky was killed when a flower shot him in the chest with a poisonous dart. I have a science team researching the previously unknown flower now, and so far they have discovered the poison can be refined into great smelling cologne. The loss of Ensign Ricky was not in vain. I am suggesting Starfleet posthumously award Ensign Ricky with the Medal of Honor.

Adm. Statalyzer: "Huh?"

Lt. Williams: "Next we shall ask - WHEN was it sighted."

Adm. Statalyzer [annoyed]: "Just a minute ago!"

Lt. Williams: "Don't brush off such important questions. WHERE is it going? Now then, we've taken care of WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, so the last question is-"

Captain Gaucho: I still have a question for you Commander.

Commander Sims: What is that?

Captain Gaucho: Why didn't you take command of the Ranger? Move on up from just a commander. This was your chance to be a captain, so why didn't you?

Commander Sims: I just don't feel ready yet.

Sounds like it might be the wiser choice as of now, since we have still to make official contact with the Romulan in any way...

*In the mess hall of the Unity...*

Lt. Sharma: "Meatloaf, Calamari, steamed rice, and a cup of frappachino please."

ZZZZOOOOOOOPPPPP (replicator creates the dinner).

Lt. Malcom: "Fried shrimp, veggie mix, and a cup of lemonade please."

ZZZZOOOOOOOPPPPP

Lt. Boren: "Tuna sandwhich on rye with a bottle of coke please."

ZZZZOOOOOOOPPPPP

*A couple of minutes later.*

Lt. Boren: [grunt] [argh] "I can't get this - " [grrrrr] "- stupid bottlecap off. Wait, hey, that's not fair, the replicator gave you normal plastic lids!"

Lt. Malcom: "You ordered a bottle. We both ordered cups."

Lt. Boren: "Well, the human mind shall triumph eventually. After all, the coke battle does not have a brain, and I do."

Lt. Sharma: "That's debateable."

*A few minutes later, on the holodeck.*

Lt. Boren: "Holodeck computer, please make this stupid worthless thing have a plastic lid on top."

Random passerby: "Hey James, why do you have a plastic soda lid on your head?"

*A few minutes later, in the transporter room.*

Lt. Boren: "Alright, I'll just beam this thing into outer space, than beam all of it except for the bottlecap back on board!."

*Meanwhile, on the bridge."

Lt.Cmdr. Avis: "Admiral, unknown vessel decloaking right underneath us."

Adm. Statalyzer: "Yellow alert! Mitchell, target it but don't fire. What's the sensor readout on this ship."

Lt.Cmdr. Axon: "It's transporting some unidentified but potentially toxic liquid, sir, it could be a means of biological attack. It's shaped like an Orion weapon, but the target is only .2 meters long!"

Commander Krasnodar: "How could a device that small having a cloaking device or a means of propulsion to get out in space this far?"

Lt.Cmdr Avis: "It's attempting to beam itself onboard our ship!"

Adm. Statalyzer: "FIRE!!!!!"

*One blast of a phaser obliterates the offending soda bottle.*

Adm. Statalyzer: "Prepare a report at once for headquarters. The Orion apparently have a new microdevice capable of beaming toxins aboard our ships."

Captain's Log, Stardate 0709.02

We have recently returned from Sector 051 where we contacted two Federation colonies. The colonies were happy to hear that the Federation is alive and growing again, and requested several tons of supplies. I have forwarded this list to the Forward Supply Command. After a short resupply and shore leave at Starbase 214, Enterprise and Eagle will be en route to Sector 067 in hopes to find and reactivate the New Sydney shipyards above Therra Prime. A science and engineering team has been provided by Starbase 214 to crew the shipyards.

On a personal note, I am happy to report that crew and compliment are functioning well aboard the new Enterprise... we have been through life and death together, and even with recent developments with the virus, the crew's morale has remained high.

Good to hear that we finally made contact with the friendlies in sector 051 again.

However, if we're going to be heading back to the 'badlands' of the Federation, you'd better give me an advanced heads up Admiral. I'll definately be taking an entire company with me over there if I ever do get called, no way I'm gonna end up like commander Kale during the last days of the pullout from that area!:dead:

Simple, there are many different paths through the galaxies, it's not like the Orion surround us 360º on all circumferences or anything.

Captain Gaucho: It's been almost a day and there has been no sign of any change in the situation.

Commander Sims: OOooHHhhh my, when did you get back on the bridge?

Captain Gaucho: About ten minutes ago, but thats no the point. I really don't see the need for Admiral Stats two ships, the Unity and the Alliance, along with our two ships, the Exeter and the Ranger. Eins ship is in peace talks with the new arrivals to our system right now and I feel that this many ships aren't necessary. John, do we have a tactical layout of their defenses?

Lt. Commander Seers: Well, their weapons aren't quite like ours. They are energy weapons, appear to partical weapons like our phasers, can't give any real details. Also there appear to be no areas that would look like they would use something like photon or tri-cobalt torpedoes. Their shield generator appears to be a little bit stronger than our own so they may be able to hold out in a fight longer than us. Also the hull metals are of unknown origin. This is from the initial scan we made when we joined with the fleet here.

Captain Gaucho: I see. Lets not bother scanning them right now, we will wait to see the outcome of our encounter with this species before we make any decisions.
