Greetings citizens! All you old folks will have some idea what this is about, you new folks, just pay attention and pretend you know whats happening.

Some time ago, a splinter group from DENSA was formed, named the Terran Federation. We expanded into the galaxy, fighting numerous foes, both internal and external. But a horrific incident (server crash) destroyed all we worked for.

I bring you the Terran Federation Mk III! I am the President. That means I'm in charge.

I bring you a memo from my trusted Admiral Nilsog, who is in charge of pretty much everything at the moment:

-------------------------------------------------------

UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS
CONFIDENTIAL COMMUNICATION

FROM: STARFLEET COMMAND, SAN FRANCISCO

TO: FEDERATION PRESIDENT

RE: STATE OF STARFLEET

Mr. President,

As you know, over the past year the Federation has been in a state of serious decay. It has been through sheer determination that our dedicated men and women of Starfleet have been able to restore our planetary communications and defenses to operational status. With our control of the planet restored, we can now focus on regaining a foothold in the galaxy.

Initial reports from Intelligence tell us that the Orion pirate activity has skyrocketed since our collapse. It seems that many of our colonies have been over-run, and the Orion have made significant advances in their offensive technologies by pilfering from our own abandoned technology. I request we begin an immediate build up of our forces, and initiate an offensive to retake our territories around the galaxy. The freedom of Federation Citizens throughout the galaxy depends on us.

Following is a report on the status of our starship fleet. Largely depleted, I recommend we re-occupy the orbital Spacedock and begin construction of new vessels ASAP.

Constitution Refit Class, Heavy Cruiser

NCC 1017 FSS Constellation
NCC 1700 FSS Constitution

We have a lot of work to do people, Orion Pirates have seized our territory and people! I'll leave you in the capable hands of the Admiral.

President Trevorrex.

Note: New regulations call for whipping of insubordinate members.
Note: Corruption will be kept at 20% until our Federation is re-established. Embezzling strictly forbidden.

Alright, ladies and gentlemen, you heard the president. All starship captains report. All new members who wish to join the federation, post a request, and I will give you an assignment. We need to get out there and take the fight to the Orion, the future of the Federation depends on YOU.

to Admiral Nilsog and President Trevorrex

As you may or may not recall, an unoffical proposal was sent several years ago to the Solleau Science & Exploration to join the Terran Federation, which we declined. Our team of scientists, engineers, and mechanics prefered to keep our work limited to civilian matters, with the small independent fleet that I commanded, existing as a deterrant to space gang activity, the only military presence.

However, last week Yokosuka Shipyards, by far our largest facility, was put out of action in an unprovoked attack by Orion forces, possibly assisted by the Mara, an alien race we are studying and previously thought peaceful. Our fleet was destroyed as well, and we do not have the firepower to prevent them from annihilating our remaining facilities. We would like to join your Federation for protection.

We have little material to offer, but we do have technical knowledge and manpower. We have a full design available for a light cruiser that we recently completed. Perhaps if we combine our design with your advance robotics and construction power, together we can make this design a reality and contribute to the Federation Fleet. All we ask is that you allow us to withdraw all mobile material to the Solar System so that our civilian work can continue with protection from Orion attack.

We await your reply,
-Statalyzer

Very well. Currently we are in dire need of Starship captains, therefore I am assigning you command of the FSS Constitution NCC-1700. Your first assignment is to reconnoiter the outer edges of Sector 001, identify Orion hard targets, and make note of any patrols. Use extreme caution and try to avoid being detected.

Die Orions, die!

Edit: Just realized it's 'Orions', not 'Onions' ..

I'm entering you into service for SFMC. Your orders will come from General Wargrudge.

Willing to serve commander. just point and i will go there.

I am assigning you command of the light cruiser FSS Hathaway NCC 2593. Your first assignment will be to patrol Sector 001. Avoid conflict if you can, and follow the ROE if you must fight. Don't let me down, Captain.

Y'know what? For once, I'll not be the agressor in a space-based RP

Excellent. You will have Command of the Science Frigate FSS Grissom. Your first assignment is to conduct deep space scans within the Sol system and determine what size fleet the Orion may have within our own system. Also, determine what time it takes to cook a hot pocket so its not lava hot, but also not frozen in the middle. Then make me one.

CONFIDENTIAL COMMUNICATION

FROM: STARFLEET COMMAND, BUREAU OF ALIEN AFFAIRS

TO: COMMODORE STATALYZER OF SOLLEAU

RE: FEDERATION MEMBERSHIP STATUS

Commodore Statalyzer,

Per a conversation with President Trevorrex, and a meeting of the Federation Counsel, we have decided to accept you into the Federation. You will have our fleet of Oberth class vessels at your disposal for relocating whatever you deem necessary to Sector 001. We embrace your culture into our own, and hope that our relationship will be a fruitful one.

Welcome to the Federation, Commodore. We look forward to our partnership and are confident that our combined efforts shall end the Orion threat.

I hope the Oberth fleet is adequate, they are most hardy vessels.

I require hot pockets also.

This is Lieutenant Ik of the assault carrier Independance, glad to see a friendly face out here. We managed to escape the Orion, but we've taken heavy losses, including most of our senior officers. We're not dead yet though, we're still on the roster...somewhere.

I hear you need a captain. I'd be honored to return the favor and some to those who hurt one of our most revered flagships. Rank may not be there, but maybe theres a promotion in there for bringing most of Independace back?

Nilsog
06-19-2007, 02:43 AM
Lieutenant! Its good to see a familiar face! Get that carrier into spacedock for repairs, and take command of the Farrigut. Command will be temporary, until repairs are completed, but consider yourself promoted to Captain.

Congratulations, Captain!

You have been most grateful. We expected to join the fight in our own light cruiser once our design was made reality, we didn't expect to be given a fleet to start with already.

4 of 5 ships, Biko, Bonestell, Cochrane, and Copernicus are currently using tractor beams to relocate our main facility into Sector 001, where it will be reorganized as a construction port for military vessels and renamed Yokosuka Naval Yard. Because of the damages we sustained, it's operation will be limited - some standard Federation machines and robotic assemblers would greatly assist us in production of new vessels. My chief architect will transmit to you our needs shortly - I understand if it is not all immediately available on short notice.

The 5th ship, Grissom, is on it's way to an intact science lab, from where it will return with a large supply of hot pockets and some food replicators to Desolator and Trevorrex.

Nilsog
06-19-2007, 03:26 AM
Hopefully this will go on without incident. Should conflict arise, contact Starfleet immediatly, Oberth class vessels are not combat vessels, they will require backup.

As far as your needs go, once we get the information I will be able to relay to you the availability of supplies. I'm sure you understand things are tight now.

STARFLEET STATUS UPDATE

Spacedock has been fully repaired and is now in operational status.

FSS Independance, a Marine Assault Carrier, has returned to Earth after a long, harrowing voyage through deep space. While having sustained heavy damage and casualties, the ship will be repaired and put under the command of Captain IK.

After a brief battle, two of our Heavy Cruisers were able to defeat a fleet of small Orion vessels guarding the Federation Colony on Mars. The colony has been liberated, and the people have shown us great gratitude.

Enterprise was attacked earlier today by an Orion heavy battlecruiser. Enterprise was able to score a direct hit on their engineering section, and crippled the vessel. After scanning the memory banks of the ship, we have gained valuable information on the location of Orion stations throughout the Sector. This information will bolster our offensive into the outer limits of Sector 001.

I am requesting a status report from fleet captains ASAP

drgNz~, welcome to the SFMC. I'm placing you in charge of the 1st Mobile Infantry Division. While you are stationed on Earth awaiting the repairs of the FSS Independence, get well acquainted with your troops. The faster you do this the faster you and yout men will be useful for the coming campaign against the Orions.

CONFIDENTIAL COMMUNICATION

FROM: GENERAL WARGRUDGE, COMMANDER OF STARFLEET MARINE CORPS

TO: ADMIRAL NILSOG, STARFLEET COMMANDER

RE: TRANSPORTATION AND SUPPORT FOR OKANNED CAMPAIGN

Greetings Admiral,

As you know, the space fighting capabilities of the Marine Corps has somewhat diminished over the years do to rapid decay of our Light Fighter fleet. With the approval of you and President Trevorrex I would like to start a campaign on the moon of Europa. Intelligence passed to me indicates a heavy Orion presence on the surface of Europa, as well as an undisclosed amount of unknown spacecraft surrounding the nearby moon of Ganymede. I would recommend removing this threat now before it becomes a real threat to our activities near Jupiter. As soon as the FSS Independence is repaired I request it and a Starfleet escort be sent to begin the campaign as soon as possible.

We have spotted Orion patrols from time to time flying through this sector and though they fly through this part of space I have yet to find any bases or spacedocks that they may be in possession of lying on the outer edges of this system. We have noticed that their patrols are scanning various inhabitable planets so we are assuming that they are planning on moving in. We have yet to be detected and hope to keep it that way. We of the FSS Constitution NCC-1700 will continue scouting the outer edges of sector 001 and try to keep you up to date on the details.

What is the status of the Marine Transport Fleet? If you currently have insufficient space for your divisions, I can loan you some of my ships for temporary use as transports, as most of the relocation of our facilities has been done and the ships are not needed for repair work.

I will loan you 3 of my 5 vessels if you can assure me that the fleet will be adequately escorted. I cannot afford to throw away supply vessels in a direct engagment with enemy capital ships.

Although our HQ has been destroyed and plundered by Orion pirates months ago, a small team of technicians managed to get away with a big part of The Archives. Your proposal is greatly appreciated. We are just shy of our pre-war transport levels, so one ship should be enough. I cannot guarantee it's safety in the heat of battle, however I will personally se to it that it be at the rear of any formation before the ground invasion begins.

Maximuzz, my ships were a recent gift from the Federation. If you would like one, it is your perogative to take it back. Grissom is sitting around Deso's HQ after having delivered his food replicators doing nothing right now anyway. Our current project, design and construction of a new light cruiser, doesn't require much in the way of actual ships.

Commander Max, this is Captain Gaucho reporting.

While on our routine patrol of the outlying parts of this sector we managed to spot a small group of Orion ships passing through. Though before we were able to get out of sensor range they spotted us. The firefight left us with some heavy damage to secondary system and little to moderate damage to our primary systems. The group consisted of:

2 Orion light cruisers
1 Orion freighter
1 Orion scout ship

We managed to disable the freighter before it could get away and boarded it, it is now under our control. Also, through what seemed as a miracle, my tactical officer with my pilot pulled off a stunt that left the two light cruisers temporarily disabled. Though before we could try to do anything to the two light cruisers they both self-destructed. The scout ship was able to get away unfortunately before we were able to intercept it. We are departing for space dock for repairs with the freighter in tow using the tractor beam. It may take awhile for us to arrive. Also from what we could get from our sensors the Orion group was headed for a small system in this sector. Hopefully the equipment inside will be of use along with any info in their computers memory. En route to space dock.

Admiral Nilsog,

Here are some basic concept plans for Solleau's new light cruiser, which we propose be named FSS Alliance.

Basic sillohuettes:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v498/Statalyzer/FSSAlliance.jpg

Obviously some depth detail is left off in these...more detailed schemes to follow.

The basic plan is incorporate the most advanced Federation Warship technology possible, augumented with upgrades from Solleau's latest research. However, since the need is so great, the ship's buildtime needs to be reduced as much as possible, requiring that we make tradeoffs such as fewer photon launchers, no separation mechanism, etc.

Length - 908 ft
Width - 468 ft
Height - 223 ft
Armament - 7 phaser banks, 1 photon torpedo launcher
Defenses - Deflector shields
Propulsion- Standard impulse engines, Sustained-Mass Warp Drive
Saucer Separation - incapable
Science Facilities - minimal
Sensors - Extended Active Scanning
Tractor Beams - none

This is Captain Gaucho.

While En Route to space dock with the Orion freighter we were ambushed by an Orion Heavy Cruiser and Battlecruiser. It seemed the only thing they were interested in was the freighter caused as soon as they dropped out of warp they opened fire on it. Luckily we were able to deactivate the tractor beam and raise shields before the explosion but since it was so close we still sustained heavy damage. It was weird though because as soon as they opened fire on it they left, guess they thought it would be enough. Right now our warp drive and shields are down. We are attempting to make necessary repairs to the warp drive and impulse engines to even make it back right now. I think we can handle it on our own but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Over and out.

UPDATE: While I was heading to one of the foward listening outposts on a supply ship to gain a couple more recruits needed for my team, I got an urgent call from the post that they had just spotted a hostile and would be needing support ASAP since all they had online was just their tractor beam and shielding (the cannons were offline due to maintenance issues). Apparently, they saw THIS (http://www.galciv2.com/screenshots/v16/index.8.jpg):

The reason why we managed to get such accurate data was because the listening post had decided to focus their scanners on it entirely since they had no weapons; they were figuring that if they perished, they might at least get a recording of the culprit. As you can see, it had no weapons to speak of, which is why no violence broke out, but the fact that it had such advanced scanners and survey equipment is making think that this guy may be a scout. But this begs the question: what did it want from us???

BTW, I know I shouldn't be asking for this kind of data sir, but do the Orion even have Class IV scanners!? Last time I checked, the best they had was a Class III, and that was for a rather advanced starship, not a recon craft!

We finally got our propulsion systems back online and are back en route to space dock. During our repairs we noticed regularly increasing amounts of Orion squadrons passing in and out pf the system. Before the Orion activity started increasing we got minimal impulse drive back and were able to move to a large asteroid nearby which camouflaged us in a sense from their radar. The squadrons consist mostly of Orion freighters, guarded by Heavy Cruisers. I am not liking it though because there are about two or three to a squadrons, whatever it is in those freighters, theres a lot of it. Our ETA to space dock is one hour.

Re: New starship development

Development of a new starship class has begun. The class designation is to be a heavy cruiser, considerably more powerful than the excelsior class variant. The current phase of development is merely on the drawing board, but we have some pre-decided specifications-

Length : 526 m
Beam : 320 m
Height : 125 m
Decks : 36

Mass : 2,350,000 metric tons
Crew : 550
Armament : 13 Type IX phaser arrays, total output 30,000 TeraWatts, 2 Type 1 burst fire photon torpedo tube with 250 rounds
Defence Systems : Standard shield system, total capacity 2,025,000 TeraJoules
Standard Duranium/Tritanium Double hull plus 7 cm High density armour.
Standard level Structural Integrity Field
Warp Speeds
Normal Cruise : 6
Maximum Cruise : 8.8

Mr. President, Admiral, the Orion Syndicate has somehow aquired the schematics to a new line of medium range ship mounted disruptors developed for the Imperial Fleet. Weapons of this type are mounted on only the newest of our vessels, the Tellara included, and have been shown in tests to be very capable weapons systems. We do no know if these schematics were leaked accidently, stolen, or sold. What we do know is that the Orions have begun a program to retrofit their fleet of light cruisers with them. Though we have only tracked one such vessel, we feel there may already be a number in service. As of this time we do not know where these refits are taking place, however we are working to find this information.

General Wargrudge:

We've finally finished up with the mop-up operation on Europa, and are preparing to pack things up just in case if that large Orion Fleet decides to come around these parts. Basically, we're just waiting for the next orders around here.

However, there is a more pressing concern, sir. During the assault, my men claimed to have seen a strange ship departing the from the dark side of Europa (the side I was attacking). I have a picture of the ship below:

http://www.st-intelligence.com/ship_database/fed/images/KreTime_main.jpg

This thing definately isn't Orion -- the strange design and unusual energy signatures are proof enough of that. But, my men reported that it was being escorted by Orion patrol craft, which leads me to believe that this may be of strategic importance to them.

P.S. Though I'm only speculating at this point, it might also be the ship responsible for the recent disastrous explosion at Jupiter. But if that's the case, then why blow up Jupiter when they could have used it on our forces on Europa, or more strategically, the starfleet? A lot of questions this ship raises, indeed...

That picture of the destruction of Jupiter that wargrudge showed us looks eerily similar to the quantum disturbance effects (QDE's) that the Mara, the same alien race that helped the Orion force damaged our shipyards and science labs. This makes us suspect that the Mara have allied with Orion.

However, there are several pieces of evidence that suggest it was not the Mara who blew up Jupiter.

1)The Mara's QDE severeky damaged our facilites, but wasn't powerful enough to destroy them, leaving enough intact for us to rebuild them. If they can destroy a planet, surely they would have totally annihilated our space station.

2)Orion currently seems to be avoiding this anomaly that resembles a cloud of radiation. If Mara produced this effect, then why would Orion, their allies, be avoiding it?

3)SgtRicko's picture is not a picture of any known Mara ship. However, that ship is escorted by Orion, so perhaps that picture is not of the ship that destroyed Jupiter.

We have not seen any cargo ships for days now, but some giant Orion...something...just jumped to hyperspace moments ago. A pursuit could mean suicide with all the residual radiation. Our navigation is plottiing an alternate course as we speak, we will be there ASAP.

Our long range sensor array we set up here on Europa has given us this 3-dimensional image of a ship as it was moving away from Jupiter and towards Saturn. It is not of Orion origin, and was traveling with a small escort before all disappeared from our sensors, most likely due to some sort of cloaking field.

http://www.3dmodelworks.com/models/thumb/Gemini3d/Spaceship/Spaceship.JPG

Due to the destruction of Jupiter, Europa is now slowly drifting out to space, as are the other moons. Except Ganymede. The unknown space forces there are still on it, but connected to the planets surface somehow, and the telemetry experts back on Earth expect it to collide with Mars sometime within the next 4 to 6 hours.

Me and my men are calling the Europa Campaign a sucess, and are leaving in 2 hours for Mars.

Hmm, space ambulance. Perhaps it is time to go one step further and invest in a hospital ship. Transporting patients from all over the Federation to your hospital is getting tricky.

We can convert an older ship to become a dedicated hospital ship. What say you Yorkie? Internal decor will be entirely your decision.

Statalyzer
06-25-2007, 07:29 PM
The defense system on Europa consisted only of a few small ships which tried to stop the landings and were destroyed quickly. Biko's shield integrity was reduced and most of the auxiliary power systems were fried, but the ship can still make full power with the mains.

Also, some good news. We have ruled out Sabotage in the case of the Bonestall. It was apparently an improbable freak accident caused by an unleash of zero-point energy in an experiment on torpedo upgrades. We're not quite sure what the chances of this happening are, but the chances of it ever happening again are approximately 0.
Finally, here is more detail on Alliance, elaborated on and edite to conform to Federation data, although due to the experimental nature of some of the technology it will employ, these values are what we hope to achieve, not what we are certain to have as the final stats. Some of them differ slightly from earlier values.

The theory behind our design is to beat the Orion pirates at their own game. This means first of all, use their primary method of engagment against them, which is to hit and run, using stealth, feints, surprise, and speed. Second of all, to prevent them from using this method against us.

As you may have noticed, this ship has an unusually high maximum cruising speed. Normal warp technology encases the ship in a local field of space which means that the ship is travelling within this zone at less than the relative speed of light inside it. This also cancels or minimizes time dilation and relativistic mass - mass normally increases as speed approaches the speed of light.

The Sustained-Mass Warp Propulsion allows the relativistic mass of the ship and Warp Core to increase much more than is standard, thus magnifying the amount of matter-antimatter reaction and noticibly increasing the warp factor the Alliance can achieve. However, the side effect of this propulsion is to limit interaction with the outside world. While at warp speed, she can transmit subspace messages but receive none, and cannot fire weapons at warp like other ships can.

The extended sensor range plus the magnified cruising speed means that Alliance is ideal for pursuing and/or tracking enemy raiders, but will not be able to engage them while at warp. The quantum stabilizers are there as a shield against the quantum disturbance effects (QDE) weapons of the Mara, against which an ordinary energy field is useless. Subspace masking is a very poor substitute for cloaking. It can help disguise the ship from enemy scanning only at extreme range or while in the presence of unusual background particles or radiation, and even then such disguise cannot be relied on, only hoped for. Nevertheless, it does provide a slight advantage in fighting the Orion fire with fire.

Since new ships are needed ASAP, Alliance will not be equipped with any tractor beams, carries a slightly subpar although still effective set of weaponry, cannot saucer separate, and has only a single hull with no dense armor plating installed. This means she is poorly designed to slug it out with enemy ships of the line, but is still more powerful than the speedy raiders, stealthy pirate ships, and escort vessel that she was meant to fight - and unlike most ships which are also more powerful than those, Alliance has a good chance to outrun them and/or outfox them. We realize that some of this is a gamble, but we believe the tradeoff is worth it in these tough times.

I've noticed that admist all of the recent chaos around Jupiter's destruction, the Orions ended up leaving a lot of equipment behind. Granted, most of it is just simple supplies and whatnot, but one particular object caught my attention: the Orion Jupiter Sensor Array. Due to it's location over Jupiter's North Pole, it's obvious that it must have recorded some valuable intel on the unknown ship and the explosion, among other things. and who knows -- if we're lucky, we might even get some intel on the Orion's numbers in the area and their recent chatter between each other before Jupiter's destruction.

Therefore, I request permission to launch a small operaton to investigate the senor array and gather what intel it may have collected. I will only need a small team of four and a shuttle, myself included.

May I carry out this mission, Sirs?

sensors spot Orion forces getting close to Neptune, and soon afterward, they flicker, and then they r gone, the Galactica moved over there to see if the sensors were faulty, but they r indeed gone...
If they intend to go below radar or even cloak and pass the planet, I will have further information upon investigation, I have mined fields where they disappeared to track them if they r to depart the same way so their cloaking fields will be useless upon scanning...

I'm gonna work on some shield generator technology, as well as anti-electronic-interference shielding... maybe write a program or two... oh, and if anyone wants it, I've also got a nifty little device here. I need backup from any if all cruisers, they have been using electric magnetic pulse operating dishes to penetrate shields

This is highly odd; such a magnetic pulse ought to be repelled by the deflector shields. Perhaps Avapadro's ships simply carry a very different shielding design, but I suspect that this pulse is actually a Mara QDE. It might resemble an EMP, but what the pulse actually does is cause a wave of ripples in the quantum states of matter the effect passes through, with predictable effects on the structural integrity of the target. If this is true, then it looks we have a Mara-Orion alliance.

The Alliance, when built, will be equipped with quantum stabilizers that should neutralize the QDEs. Solleau can begin equipping current vessels with these, although there are only a limited number available right now. Cochrane and Copernicus are on their way to Neptune now, with two stablizer systems on board each ship.

Note that installing this on your ship will take it out of the action for a couple of days, because it is more than a matter of attaching one big machine into the engineering system. Small propagators must be installed at many points along the ship's hull and then the effect can be carefully networked together to encase the hull in a stabilizing effect. But the option is now available if you consider the Mara QDE's a serious enough threat.

Desolator, Grissom will continue to assist you in your shielding experiments with all available research equipment.

The Orions don't seem to be attacking full force and their weapon ship hasn't attempted to fire on us. I'm assuming it has a recharge time so the ships that are on us right now may just be bideing time for the ship to fully charge. We need to be prepared for the worst. Shields are holding.

Well, I wouldn't say entirely painless. Or quick. See, first the ships plasma conduit network would have ruptured, spraying plasma over the crew, burning and maiming them. At this point the plasma backflows into the reactor system, overloading containment systems.
This meant power went down through the ship, causing terror as they are now being burnt in total darkness. Numerous hull breaches would have opened up, sucking some hapless people into outer space, where death takes about 30 agonising seconds, 15 if already burnt by plasma.
The the reactor went critical, destroying the ship completely. That would have been the quick part.

I have something that may be of use. On Europa I tested a small scale jamming sheild. When activated it will be impossible for anything to lock on to, scan or comunicate with what is inside the field. However, anything inside the field will be unable to do so with those out side of the field. With some tweaking of ship systems you should be able to pierce the field with 50% efficancy, asumming you usethe right frequency. If can be launched at other ships, but it will only last 2-3 hours Max on its own. With a ship feeding into it, it should last indefinatally.
You might find this new technology useful.

As I was chasing them in their retreat I noticed a larger fleet of their more powerful ships lying several light years outside our system. When finding this fleet on long range sensors I decided to return to the sol system. It seems that what ships were headed here were only a small front to what they really have in store. In any case, when I am absent you have the authority to issue orders to any Starfleet Officer. General Wargrudge- as Commander of Starfleet Marine Corps you also have the authority to give orders to starfleet vessels. If either of you notice anything that may need to be addressed do it. You both will answer to me, and I answer to the President. I feel confident in both your abilities and hope that you will be able to keep the fight going while I am tied up from time to time. Good Luck.

Also, Admiral Statalyzer, you now have command of our newest Excelsior Class vessel, FSS Unity NCC-23442. Make good use of her.

I eagerly await construction of our new Light and Heavy Cruiser classes, they will surely help us regain our hold in the galaxy.

I would also like to commend all our people on their courage and vigor in this time of uncertainty. It is of no doubt that we have some of the best and brightest the Federation has to offer. I am proud to be your commander.

In regards to the Galactica disaster- I am shocked and disappointed at the loss of life, but I understand the commitment of these *cough*.. brave.. *coughcough* men and women. Their memory shall not be... uh... what was I saying?

Ah yes.

Give em' hell! Take back Sol!

MECH WORLDS HIGH COUNCIL:
We of the Mech Worlds have been awaiting for something like this to happen, we can use the data pod for more information upon the destruction of the ship Galactica, and we shall begin construction of a new command ship (not nearly as powerful without the lagre venomhawk forces or Warp Drill), relay whatever information that we can. We believe that we can reconstruct Avapods body and upload any data he himself put in the pod for his new position as Constructor of Starfleet Operations...
We hope to search the area ourselvesfor any others lives that we can save, for they don't come cheap...

It's a very difficult thing to do Sir with only 35 torsos yet 45 heads, it has taken me ages to work out what to do and in the end I have enlisted the help of the boutique on base and used the manequins to give bodies and limbs where needed.

Hopefully their families will never know the difference if seen from a distance.

I should have been informed of this days ago. :dismay:

I have medical supplies en route. They will be arrive on our Starfleet's first new hospital ship, the USS Asclepius. My apologies to Admiral Nilsog for launching this vessel prematurely, but the crew complement I've installed should be adequate for this mission. Count on it bringing all the artificial organs and limbs you could ask for.

Thank you, Admiral Nilsog. I enthusiatically prepare to carry out my duties with honor, dignity, respect, courage, and perspicatiousness! As for Alliance, any specific designation for her? The saucer hull shell is nearing completion....

Unity will immediately head to Neptune to join the main battle fleet.

http://www.startrek.pl/res/klasy/Excelsior/big/excels.jpg

In the meantime, gentlemen and women of the fleet, while we are at a standoff with Orion near Neptune, perhaps it is the time to seize the iniative. The majority of their ships are here, they can't have many more elsewhere. If we take advantage of this opportunity to strike out at them, perhaps it will induce them to retreat from the solar system to protect their territory.

Any suggestions? We don't want to strike out blindly - anything we've learned from some of these captured Mara or Orion systems?

General Wargrudge to all forces surrounding Neptune:

Enemy vessel that destroyed Jupiter has been spotted by sensors passing through the Uranus orbital path heading towards Neptune. No ships were in the vicinity to engage and it has since disappeared. Keep an eye out.

Also, the gargled transmission that was recieved earlier has some odd anomilies to it. It appears to be coming from 4 seperate locations, though the four are still not known. This of course is not possible, so it is believed to be an enemy ploy to keep us from the real spot. If anyone gets a fix on any of the transmission sources you are to be cautious when investigating. Should it be the true source, you are to do as Admiral Statalyzer has ordered and converge on the location.

The Mech Worlds have recieved the data pod containing the information, Avapod will be reconstructed to give us any information on the ship that destroyed his, so far we know that they use polarity pulling and pushing devices and a highly amplified frequency to use high powered emp, and we see it as a 'Polarity Pusling High Frequency Magnetic Pulser Device', be warned, the enemy may use their newly captured Warp Drill to destroy large ships in a split second, and with this PPHFMPD on the loose, they can easily use it to just momentarily weaken the shields, giving it a faster time to reload, not that it doesnt destroy ships that have shields anyway...

Just reporting in with the news that the new shields are in. I prefer to call them Zeta Particle Emmission Fields, but 'really badass shield' works just as well. When activated, a higher powered shield comes online, as well as a device that prevents lock-on from other ships. Considering though that the field also prevents you from locking-on, this function can be turned off. However, while it is on, to conserve power - this shield requires 1.5 times the power regular shields need - weapons systems will be disabled. You can cycle the weapons to make sure that once you turn the anti-lockon device off, weapons will be ready to fire...

Anything else that you guys think I need to work on? I'll ship the devices off for installation into the newer ships, and you guys can snag 'em on the way back, alright?

Also, in my random to-do list is a weapons set that bypasses the anti-lockon system, to let you handle someone quite easier... as well as some new reactor technology.

Unity heads off at maximum impulse to the far side of the Jupiter cloud where the hulk of the Enterprise is drifting and Hathaway is scanning. Grissom is on her way from Desolator's lab, eqiupped with the new shield - the small vessel is not meant for battles like this but can at least manuever around with the ZPE shields to draw fire away from the ships of the line. IMPORTANT NEWS BRIEF

In one massive, terrible, horrible, unexpected, and slightly ironic strike the combined forces of the Ferengi Alliance and Bajor have completely exterminated the Mech World/Genibots race. All planets within their controlled territory have been eliminated. Their fleet was crushed. All citizens, government officials, and members of their military were liquidated. No one was spared, NOT EVEN THE CHILDREN.

Hovering near the Jupiter cloud, Unity, Hathaway, Reliant, and the three frigates pick up something on scanners. Three vessels of an unusual signature are picked up on scanners. Captain Ein of the Hathaway gets the first visual - of a Mara scout ship emerging from the cloud.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v498/Statalyzer/MaraScout.jpg

Two more identical ships follow closely behind. "Shields up. Readout on those ships?" says Admiral Statalyzer. Captain Scoot quickly transmits the information his scans have come up with. The ships have narrow warp nacelles very similar to Federation technology, with unified energy shields only 25% the strength of the average TF cruiser. Weaponry appears to be a laser mounted on the underside of the hull and small antenna for firing QDE waves. The ships are relatively small, only about 90 m long.

Grissom, equipped with Desolator's advanced shields, turns the shields on and heads to the front of the fleet. "All ships hold your fire, let's try and be friendly in case they-" Statalyzer's order is cut off by a blast of laser fire from the Mara which is absorbed harmlessly by the ZPE shield. Unity detects the quantum distubance weapons charging - "We've got about 15 seconds to knock those out or our ships without stabilizers are in trouble."

Hathway, equipped with quantum stabilizers, has little to fear, moving in at close range to draw fire as her two companions quickly reduce the weak Mara shields to nothing. One QDE is unleashed; the wave interacts with the stablizers and dissipates, the only structual damage to Hathaway one lone transporter pad put out of action. "Fire!" says Ein - the retaliation is swift and complete. The remaining two scouts ships attempt to withdraw, but Unity and Reliant make short work of them.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v498/Statalyzer/ExcelsiorFiring.jpg

"That was almost too easy." says Scoot. "That can't be all." As if to confirm his premonition, 12 more ships show up on scanners. But these aren't Mara scout ships. Copernicus confirms it - "Vessels appear to be the Orion battle fleet" . . . .

Statalyzer: "We can't face that fleet, we can only hope to escape it. Copernicus, and Cochrane, use tractor beams to tow the hulk of the Enterprise and send parties on board to search for survivors, we detect there are still humanoid life forms aboard, hopefully our President is still alive."

[ZEEEEOOOOWWWWWSSHHHHHH - Federation medical and security officers beam aboard]

Lt. Malcom: "Wait a second, those aren't all 12 orion ships. That's 4 Orion battlecruisers, 7 Orion raiders, hotly in pursuit of Constitution!"

Statalyzer: "Signal Grissom, Reliant, and Hathaway, we'll have to go in and help Constitution escape."

Cmdr Krasnodar: "But Admiral, if 3 ships try to rescue 1 against such odds, all we'll do is make the casualty list mount to 4."

It's a moot point. Hathaway is already bravely charging the fleet, hoping her mobility will allow her to survive as she draws fire to help the damaged Constitution and the crippled, in-tow Enterprise get away. The weaker raiders, speeding ahead of the lumbering battlecruisers, engage first - Hathaway's shields are shaky but intact. Grissom draws fire as well, her powerful ZDE's holding up well, but also prevent her from communicating or firing weapons.

Statalyzer, on board Unity, struggling to get into the fight, signals her companions. "Ein and Scoot, concentrate your firepower on the same raider. We can't beat this whole fleet but together we can at least destroy a few smaller ships and escape before the larger ones arrive."

Statalyzer: "Transmit to Desolator: 'After this battle is complete, Grissom will return to your HQ to continue assisting in your science experiments.'"

But the larger warships are starting to enter the battleground. All 4 Orion battlecruisers unleash barrages of electron cannon. Even the improved ZDE shields can only take so much punishment. Unity is too late to assist, probably for her own good as she cannot take on 4 battlecruisers anyway.

Sensors indicate life on the Enterprise, but only a few of the readings are of people native to the Sol system. I recommened a boarding party to go in and take back the vessel, since it appears to have been taken over by the enemy in a plot to get us when we least expect it. It may just be a floating husk right now, but that ship is the symbol of our Starfleet.

wargrudge is correct. A quick scan reveals that no-one from our away mission to the Enterprise is still onboard with life-signs. They must have been killed by whoever was aboard the ship. :(

The question is why did wargrudge know that most of the lifeforms onboard the ship weren't ours, but we found only Terran humanoids. Perhaps there is a mole onboard Unity feeding us false sensor feedback? We are investigating.

In the meantime, the two Frigates will continue towing Enterprise home at maximum impulse, and our other 3 ships still have a battle to fight to save the Constitution.

I am back online, and ready to serve and take out the two ships that aided in MEch Worlds Destruction...

This is war, I understand it that we knew we had it in for ourselves, we had info that neither enemy could let loose... But since the Pegasus, our last battleship, escorted our Artificial Mech Planet with a civilization to last for several years, survived, and we eventually will die out, but will live our legacy out till the end...
I am on a revenge mission, and I have finally hunted down and captured teh great planet destruction weapon, and am going to destroy the Orion Fleet battleships one by one no matter the cost, but first I give this weapon of destruction to Earth, and The Artificial Planet will escort it over...
I am on a revenge mission, and until the ship that downed the Galactica is destroyed, and the Warp Drill retrieved, will I come back...
I am afraid, without the Mech Worlds, many civilian planets with no means of protection, r unguarded long the edges of the galaxy that have put their name into the Federation...
The Pegasus is resistent to the shield Technology, and I found out what they were using... a miniature version of something called a Rift Generator, but this was only the beginning, a intercepted transmission has given me the knowledge that a very large vessel with a much more advanced dome of the Rift Generator is being constructed, or has been constructed, Avapod Survivor of the Mech Worlds... Thanks to you guys my engineering staff has been able to get the core under control and the breach has been averted. We are attempting to retreat right behind the Hathaway and Grissom but we can't do much since our weapons are still off line. Our forward Phaser Array is fried but the Aft Array can still be activated if we can get power to it. Wait.....

Chief Engineer Zach: We have been able to reactivate the Aft Phaser Array, also the Aft and Forward Torpedo Arrays are active though the compliment of torpedoes is only at 20.

Captain Gaucho: Understood. Lt. Commander John, load all active torpedo bays and arm the Aft Phaser.

Lt. Commander John: All active weapons armed and ready to fire.

Chief Engineer Zach: Due to the sensitive nature of the warp core at the moment we can only go to warp at factor 2.7 and sustain it indefinitely without the threat of breach.

Captain Gaucho: Alright, hopefully we won't have to go faster than that. Commander John, open fire on Orion ships.

Lt. Commander John: Firing!!

Enemy ship, obsolete, good luck with defending urselves from the Rift Generator,
Avapodnaught and our fleet Resigns, for the Terran Federation is a shambles now... Our newly found weapon shall be taken by our planet and will cost safely away... as our new protection from anything that is willing to bother...
We shall restart our civilization, and become a power...
Earth is in no harm, but how long shall we let a race with flaw be in a whole?
Time Will Tell, Avapodnaught, resigns...

*** INCOMING TRANSMISSION ***

rumors of my death have been highly exaggerated.

After moving into the cloud, Enterprise was hit by an Orion cruiser. After the ship that hit us boarded the vessel, I was left with no choice but to initiate self-destruct, per Starfleet Regulations. The rest of my crew is out there in escape pods, I greatly appreciate your rescue efforts.

For now, we must regroup. Admiral Rekar, the arrival of your fleet has come at an integral time in this battle. I believe our combined forces will be able to finally defeat the Orion battlegroup.

All combat effective starships are to rondevouz with the Romulan fleet immediately.

I will have Temporary command of the FSS Defiant.

ENGAGE!

This is Admiral Rekar on board the Tallera, I have on my vessel the survivors of the Cerebellum, including the Federation President. The injured are being treated, President Trevorrex among them, however he will be fine. At this time a number of our weapons systems are still offline, and we've suffered heavy casualties. However with assistance from the newly arrived Romulan fleet we've got our shields back up to 60%, and are ready to stand with our Federation associates and take this fight on the offensive.

All vessels still capable of fighting are to meet at these coordnance in orbit of Neptune, we are going to regroup and take the fight to the Orions. Admiral Nilsog, contact me on private channels.

Rekar out.

Unfortunately, due to a failure in the satellite navigation software, the last remaining vessel of the Mech Worlds was destroyed when it was hit by an asteroid the size of Russia.

Their brief threat is now over.

*COMM TRANSMISSION FROM ROMULAN VESSEL TALLERA*

You miserable people! A lot of you have failed to heed my demands that you attack the Orion fleet which is IN THE SOL SYSTEM AKA: EARTH'S HOME SYSTEM.
Fortunately the bulk of our fleet is controlled by NPC's which responded. The Orion fleet is facing heavy resistance, no thanks to a lot of you people.
Our sincere thanks go out to the Romulan Empire who seem more interested in defending our territory than a lot of you idiots appear to be.

Cerebellum status: Shields down, weapons control offline. Hull breaches. Ship is disabled, Orion fleet is ignoring it.

We have already destroyed a couple of the Orions ships while in retreat but what we destroy they seem to replace with one or two more. We are out of torpedoes and the aft phaser array is down to 20% output. I'm not sure about scoots or eins ship status but their condition is not to better from the Constitutions. Shields are at 32% because Ein has been drawing most of the fire. Whenever you guys plan to arrive would be greatly appreciated because we can't last much longer on our own out here.

We got the ships off of ein, but that took the last bit of phaser energy that we had left, and we're out of torpedoes. All the constitution can do now is take hits. Constitution takes a severe hit to the Aft-Starboard side.

Captain Gaucho: What was that?!

Lt. Kim: They hit us on the Aft-Starboard side with a two torpedoes, the thing is they seemed to be at a higher yield than usual. Shield status holding at 25%

Captain Gaucho: Zach I want all available energy dumped into the shields and more, draw it from life support if you have to, I want those shields up as high as they'll go. If we can't hit them then we can at least protect those who can. Also John, I want you to see if their is anyway we can get energy into the phaser banks. I want to give them all we got.

John and Zack: Yes Sir!!

Captain Gaucho: Also I want all crew to be prepared to abandon ship incase we need to arm the self-destruct.

Defiant shudders as an Orion torpedo smashes through her primary hull, breaching multiple decks.

http://services.tos.net/pics/st6/st6-hit.jpg

*Tac* Sir, we've lost primary power! Shields are down!

Engineering! I need power back immediately, or we're as good as dead!

*Engineering* Aye, sir! I'm already on it... I just need to bypass... this..

Orion ship comes about and prepares to fire

*Engineering* Bridge, you should have full power!

Helm, get us out of here, now!

Defiant limps away from the Orion vessel as it fires another volley of torpedoes

Brace yourselves!

Defiant is rocked by another torpedo hit to her engineering section

*Engineering* Sir, we're losing hull integrity! We can't take much more of this!

Helm, come about and bear down on that ship... do the best you can...

Defiant outmaneuvers the bulky Orion vessel and comes to bear on the aft of the ship

Tactical! Fire photons now!

http://users.bigpond.net.au/dax/Torpedo.jpg

The photon torpedo swirls around in the blackness of space, while everyone on the smoky bridge of Defiant holds their breath. The torpedo smashes into the port warp nacelle of the Orion vessel. It spins out of control, venting plasma and throwing sparks accross the vast vacuum of space.

All stations report...

*Tac* Weapons at 45%, fore phasers offline, fore port torpedo launcher offline. Hull integrity at 60%, shields are offline. Multiple casualties on multiple decks. Hull breaches contained... for now.

Alright, I see a supply ship in the rear that looks like it's losing pace with the others: maybe I can get my transport close enough to use the industrial drill beam I have onboard to cut through their hull and send in my team. Here we go!!!

*Ricko's Marine transport speeds up and deliberately rams itself on the side of the supply ship, thus disabling their shields (but unfortunately his own ship's shields as well)*

Men, get the drill beam working on that hull of theirs NOW! We only got about a couple of minutes before they figure out what we're up to!

*The drill beam begins cutting through the supply ships hull*

Corporal Mason: Sargent Major sir! It looks like an Orion corvette spotted us - it's headed our way!

Ricko: Damn, they're quick! Is there anyway to speed this drill up?

Mason: No - the drill wasn't originally intended for this kind of task and it's already being focused high enough already, any more and it'll might overheat!

*The transport takes a hit on the portside*

Ricko: Aww, crap, I think it hit the port hatch! Are we losing atmosphere?

Mason: no, sir, but the port hatch is toast, and so are the escape pods on that side!

Ricko: I guess we won't be able to use the pods to attack the other side of this ship... also means we only have one attack venue on the supply ship...

*Beam drill finally breaks through the hull*

Ricko: OK! Team 1, use your flashbangs through the hole that the beam drill just made! Team 2, lay some covering fire for us and Team 1, lets go go GO!!!

*Firefight begins...*
