I just installed the C&C 3 Demo. But as soon as I started it, the screen went kookoo for about a second & then the computer restarted. After the computer finished its restart, a message came up saying the window & just recovered from a serous errer & needed to restart. Any idea why this happened? Mabey I don't have the right system requirements, but I couldn't find them anywhere. Mabey the picture below will help, it's the properties of My Computer.

What graphics card do you have? If you're unsure, go to the Hardware tab on those properties, then Device Manager, then click Display Adapter and it'll list your card.

How much video RAM does the card have assigned to it? The demo may require more video RAM then the card has available to it.

Right-click on the desktop then click on "Properties" then click on the "Settings" tab. Then click on the "Advanced" button near the bottom. Then click on the "Adapter" tab. The amount of ram will be listed under the "Adapter Information" area. 128mb should be enough to run the demo.

No, I haven't. I downloaded it over our wirless network. Guess I'll redownload it connected directly to the DSL & then reinstall it. I'll let you know by the day after tomarrow.

Laptop cards really aren't supported at all. In fact, the entire Mobility series isn't supported by the game, and CNC3 is very picky about which graphics card you use.

Hmm. I didn't know that. I know for a fact that the NVIDIA Geforce Go 6150 laptop graphic card is supported because I've played the game on my laptop before with decent looking graphics. I will agree with you that the game is picky about hardware.

64 MB GeForce3-class video card. The game only officially supports cards with ATI (Radeon 8500 or greater) and Nvidia chipsets, and the Intel GMA 900 and GMA 950 products. The GeForce 4 MX is not supported.
So it seems that CNC3 doesn't supoort ATI Laptop GPUs. So yeah, it means your computer can't play it. Sorry mate.
