I believe the Generals servers were recently shut down for good. I'm not 100% sure on this though.

Nah, they won't do that. Not for a long time.

Ahh, well that's good news to hear, even though I barely play Generals anymore.
Makes me wonder why they shut down RA2 then?:\

Well, the only thing I can think of, Jamie, is that you might be player over a wireless network. If so, try connecting directly to the Internet line & see if that works. ;)

Different servers. Generals/ZH uses Gamespy, RA2 used Westwood Online, which was a private server meaning that EA had to maintain it themselves. EA decided it couldn't be assed to keep spending money to keep the servers for those games up, so they passed them onto the Xwis team.

I can log onto Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour Online easily. So I don't know what the problem is.

Well that's great! But how did you do it? Did you find out what the problem was?
Well, i'm experimenting with a friends wireless internet and trying to connect online for my first time:hyper:. The firewall is off.
I try "online" and it momentarily appears "checking for updates" then the screen comes to a menu of Login/Create account. I filled the spaces and pressed "create account" just to receive the notification "could not connect with cnc generals zero-hour online".
What could be origin of this problem? Are the servers down? Any sugestion?
Edit: Forget it m8s. Problem solved. Was an IP complication. By now i had my 5 first online games. Awesome experience!:hyper: Hope to find some of u there. Pity this wireless is temporary:\, it is not mine... But someday i'll get one!
