It's been a while since I had a go on RA2. Gave up when all the cheaters and hackers took over but I'm so tempted to load it up again. Got fed up with all these new games that you have to buy a new pc to run.

So many happy memories looking about the site, why did I ever stop?

Going to install it soon, better try the offline game first so I remember what I'm doing :D

Any things I need to remember to download like map packs etc? It's been a long long time!


ok, am I being stupid? How do you play online? I'm getting Error cannot connect to server (or something like that)

I was on the XWIS site and it says to log in on that, but I can't find a download link on the site to download it - is it a seperate download anyway?

That should help. The connection tool allows you to connect to XWIS. After that, you just log in with whatever you fancy. If the name and password aren't taken, they're atutomatically registered for you. Passwords need to be exactly 8 characters long.

You shouldn't need a connection tool, RA2/YR should automatically connect to the only official online server that exists for this game, which is XWIS.

I second that. I made an account on one of the oldest computers in my city and didnt have to download anything
