How do you insert voxels into your map? I'm assuming you have to somehow insert the mix with the map itself, I just have no idea how.

You don't. It's not possible to include new art in a map without modifying the art file.

Oh I know it's possible because I've seen it done online. I have no idea how, I'm pretty sure I could figure out how to insert the art.ini though.

You cannot. It is not possible!

Fenring is like a super moder, if he says you can't then you can't...though I know what you're talking about....I have a map that adds tiberian sun units. Those might already be included in final alert though...

Really? I have my doubts that this is just clever combining of turrets and bodies in the original voxels but you be the judge.

The units in that map call non-existent artmd.ini entries so nothing will appear for many of them. These maps need additional artmd.ini to support them and probably a .mix file for new art assets.

The units I saw were all valid although poorly coded.

i've seen it before too, but i don't know how.... they use TS voxels that just happen to be in the RA2 MIX file, but without an art entry, i don't see how it's possible.....

It isn't since there's no art data for any of them. Not to mention, there's only a few RA2-usable voxels left in the game from prerelease time. PHAL and FORTRESS are the only good ones to use... the others are just Tiberian Sun/Red Alert leftovers.
