Hello I think it's time their was a mapping contest on these forums.
However this is different from any mapping contest. In stead of just one map you will make many.
About every 5 days (time subject to change depending on intricacy) you receive a world class city or area to create a battle map for.
Rules these maps have to adhere to:
Number of players: I would reccomend two to four. 8 player maps generally don't have to much attention payed to the terrain. However the number is up to you.
Style of terrain: This is also up to you but it generally changes with the area you are creating. After all you wouldn't usa a snow terrain for Cairo
realisticness of area: You don't have to pull out a map of the city you are working on to make these maps. Just make it look slightly realistic. I don't know the exact placement of big ben in London but I do know that their is only one of it.
modding. I would generally lay on only a little modding if any. I don't want it to be a different game but it's ok if you capture the Eifel tower and it shoots down lasers.
How this judging will work.
The judges will decide who made the best and second best maps
1st gets 3 points
2nd gets 1 point
To start off the contest I will need some people to volunteer to judge and some people to participate.
Once 3 people start to participate I will tell you the first area
