Help!!! with edit ini files / opening map in word pad

hey sup i dont know how to open up the map in word pad and i am really stupid at this computer crap so if u could answer this in detail that would be nice./ what do people mean when they say edit the ini file?

Go to your RA2 file, select your map that you want and right click on it. Select open with..Mircosoft word. Thats the file that can be edited, if you know what you are doing. I have only edited in this a couple of times.

Do not EVER use MS Word or MS Works for map editing. They add their own header information, which can sometimes make maps unusable. Use WordPad or Notepad for best effect.
