View Full Version : Lion's Daily Blurb - Wed., Thurs., July 25-26
I'm sure those of you who drive a vehicle know what road rage is, and it's on the rise, even in my neck of da woods. I'm confronted with at least twice a week. I'm not talking about peeps tailgating me. That's a daily occurrence. Mostly it's when I'm at a stop sign waiting for the road to clear. People just don't have patience much nowadays. They honk the horn, flip the bird, etc. Not much you can do about it either. It's best not to get in a confrontation with the idiots. For one thing, if you do get out of your vehicle, you may get run over, or worse yet, shot. Lots of nuts on the road, and they think it was built just for them. Just this week in Philadelphia an 18 year old motorist shot and killed a 14 year old because the 14 year old had blocked the road with a bicycle after the 18 year old kept blowing the horn at him. The dude with the car could have just gone around him. That would have been too easy I guess. No, it wasn't gang related, just road rage. Well, that's the society we live in. Is it any wonder people on other planets wish to have no contact with us.

Ahem...in civilized Germany you can be dragged into court, fined and forced to make a public apology for flipping your middle finger at a fellow citizen.

Nuc,we should all have stringent laws like that!
As for Tailgaters, the best way to stop them is to keep touching your brakes. Works every time.

Haha, nice conclusion man!
As for the road rage, you're right Lion- why should I care if someone doesn't have enough nerves to hold on a minute. Best not to bother.

I'm lucky to not have to deal with tailgaters. The trailer usually keeps em back, but about a week ago some idiot woman got in so close I couldn't even see her on my trailer mirrors. A tap on the brakes got her ass back. :D
Well... sheesh. Remind me never to drive in your neighbourhood. :|

Well, at least all we have here is golf carts. Those things can't even kill a cat if you run one over. I've seen it with my own eyes, and it was my own cat, too. Glad about the second part of my post because of that. :happysad:

Yeah I like that German law.:thought: I saw a girl flip off some guy yesterday for squeezing her out when two lanes came into one. Road rage is just selfishness exalted to a higher degree. Its too bad that most peeps are just thinking about themselves and where they have to be, instead of thinking of others. One thing I like to do is open a door for someone at a store or something and it totally freaks them out and they are so surprised they give you about 2 or 3 thank yous. You gotta try it.

Reminds me of the conclusion of the "Ice-Man" Lion talked about some blurbs before, running through your town without a stop playing nice music! Maybe he is an alien far away from home searching for rage-contact...?!

I don't just touch my brakes, I tend to go one step further. If we're near a stop sign / set of lights or something I whack it in reverse - The look of horror on most peoples faces when they see those purdie white lights shining and your car moving backwards....
I tend to drive fast in the outside lanes when on motorways but I keep my distance until they move over, I never flash my lights or honk or anything. If anyone does that to me I usually knock it down a gear or two and watch them turn to a little speccle in my rear view mirror. I also had a guy telling me to pull over to the hard shoulder the other day because I wouldn't let him push in infront of me when he was undertaking everyone. (coughtwatcough) I just ignored him ofcourse.... My dad on the other hand would of quite hapily pulled over, given the popr fellow a beaten' and happily carried on with his journey. Good job I don't take lesson from him eh...
