Any of you lil' pro's wanna tell me your best strategy against Allied whilst playing Allied on RA2 against a beginner/mediocre player? No rush tactics.
Looking for build orders, what units to make before others, what stage of the game should I attack etc.
Ta ;)
Edit: Any specific tactics vs. America would be helpful too!

If you aren't going to rush, then your priorities are basically.
1. Get an excellent economy going
2. Get a ground force that can protect said economy from enemy rushes
3. Attempt to wound enemy economy / harass his forces
4. Mass a lot of high tech equipment quickly
5. Attack with that mass

If you aren't going to rush, then atleast try to attack early on. if you don't, the allied player will be able to either tech up or to pressure you.

Depending on skill level difference, the player must either match or exceede to pressure the other player.
The best strat without rush is to think about what would benefit you in the long run, such as taking a little more time to make investments in your economy. One big mistake that players make (both short and long game) is racing to get a good economy too fast, thus killing thier economy after they had built it up so high. A solid economy is important, but only invest in more ore miners/refineries if you can or absolutely have to do so to stay alive in the game.
Once you have a solid economy, go for tech, and then production if your current economy can handle it. If your economy can't handle extra productivity, then make investments in your economy first before you try to outproduce your opponent. Remember, even one extra war factory can make a Win/Loose difference.

Sorry, my question was a bit general; could've had a million answers I suppose. But you kinda answered it anyway. Economy!
Thanks
Edit: However effective rush tactics may be, I'd rather have a decent game and tech up instead of winning within 3 minutes. But I understand the concept of holding off a rush by building fast blah, blah...

Don't push too hard to get a good economy either. You need to have from the beginning a decent tank production.

Normally you would take more time to get a good economy because of 2 things: you will kill your economy building too many miners at once, and you will leave yourself wide open to attack.
BUT if you are playing a long term game, you wont have to worry about an immenent (excuse my spelling) attack, and will have more time to solidify your economy before focusing on offensive.

IF you won't rush, get a good economy going, tech up and build lots of miners and base defense.Build a few anti-tank units in case of prisim tanks. After you have that attack his miners and do hit and run raids to gather intelegence on his weak points. Attack using long range anti base defense units like v3s, prisim tanks, or magnetrons escorted by mirage tanks masterminds or apocolypse tanks. Another way of attacking would be using a yuri prime to mind control his base defences and build base defenses around the captured base defence.

Thats what we have been saying all along.
tech up and build lots of miners and base defense.
Base defences are useless agains any decent player.
Build a few anti-tank units in case of prisim tanks.
But of course.:p
After you have that attack his miners and do hit and run raids to gather intelegence on his weak points.
Harassing miners is always a good way to weaken the enemy and get ahead. Attack using long range anti base defense units like v3s, prisim tanks, or magnetrons escorted by mirage tanks masterminds or apocolypse tanks.
Escort prisms with GGIBFs and Mirages, with some grizzlies if you have any leftovers. Escort V3s with rhinoes and seige choppers. Apocalypses suck. And escort magnetrons with lashers, gatts, disks, and maybe a mastermind.
Another way of attacking would be using a yuri prime to mind control his base defences and build base defenses around the captured base defence.
The YP attack sucks. If the player has ANY mobile units ur screwed, and you cant build off base defences anyway.

That's why you escort him with brutes or masterminds. And you can build off base defences in expanded versions of the game.

no u can't, base defenses r base defenses... try a closer to the defenses building and u risk either the prime dying or the building u captured dying if they have good defenses... but I guess that would still be good to get his good buildings and defenses out of the way, btw, this is allied vs allied...
plz pay attention...
