Tis HAZY, HOT AND HUMID in my neck of da woods this week. The road outside my house is melting. A sticky, gooey mess it is. One of the outside kitter cats crossed the road and nearly stuck to it...no kidding! On Tuesday temps reached 102 degrees with more of the same for the next few days. I'm told when ya factor in the humidity level, it actually feels like 110 degrees. My day job usually has me working on a roof. When it gets too hot like it did on Tuesday, we have to water it down with a hose. You can actually see the steam rise up from the roof. I've never tried it, but have been told you can fry an egg on some roofs, depending on how hot they get of course. Anyhoot, good news is we only have a few more weeks of summer to get through.

I've been running Cross Country for the last few days, and I'm a terrible distance runner (my Track coach has me doing it to get in better shape for that season). With all this heat, its been pretty hard for me. :\

It's bad enuf having to work in this heat. There's no way I would be running in it. Be careful with heat stroke. Will sneak up on ya real fast. If ya feel cold chills, stop n cool down. And don't drink real cold water. It can shock your body. Doc Lion over n out.

At my house today the temperature was a 106 degrees, but it felt like 120 outside. We used to have a slate roof on our house and the angle of the roof is over 50 degrees, the roofers removed it earlier this summer, but it took them two weeks to get it all of the slate off because they had to take alot of breaks because the temperature was over 80 degrees the whole time. It's a good thing we had an above ground pool for the roofers to get in and cool off or the roof would of never got done. I did remember seeing them cook hotdogs on a piece of aluminum foil on a piece of slate on the roof.

Wow That is hot! Glad I am FORCED to work in air conditioning. It has only been in the 80's-90's here in SoCal, usually cool for this time of year.

However, the ground started shaking this morning waking us all up. It was a only a 4.5. It is kind of like a short ride at the neighborhood carnival. There is rarely any damage from these small ones. Me thinks I would rather have the Earth shake at 1:00 in the morning than have that kind of heat. If the ice cream man comes by, (be careful) it could be a mirage!

I hear ya Lion. Yesterday was so hot and humid out here, it put Florida to shame. I was shopping to get ready for a new job yesterday, and it was sheer heck- I needed to go far and I don't have a car, so I asked my father to drive me over, and his car's AC is broken. I spent all day shopping: walking around and riding with no air. If it was that difficult to just hang around, I can't imagine how annoying it was to be working outside in such weather. Badass. :flame:

You can't imagine how terrible it is, and to top it off they actually pay me to endure it.

Sorry LION my hat goes off to you all, if you have to work outdoors during this time.
