Hello, this is the arguement, the Flame Tank and the Corruptor r two close range units, and I want to c what u think of in lines of balance... where the Flame Tank seems to own in every way, but how it may be shortcoming, in other ways...

(1200? isn't it, or1500, tell me, and right price will be on here...) The Flame Tank Pros: is the general nod rusher, it kills infantry in probably seconds, and takes out units in buildings, in seemingly less than the corruptor, because of its range, which can also fry buildings, and as it destroys buildings, it has a very quick promotion table, unlike the cheaper corruptor, it also seems to take out more than one seeker tank at a time, and can go up against most vehicles besides the predator, and it moves faster (corrupter legs can go pretty slow most of the time, but legs accelerate faster
now for the few cons, it can take out friendly units in front of it, so it is dangerous with infantry, it can blow up damaging units beside it, its armor seems weaker against the corruptor, (undecided on this one) weak against black hand enemies

(1000)The Corruptor: Can turn infantry into viseroids, has fast exceleration, slightly better tank shell resistence, and rocket resistence, takes out infantry squads quickly, despite what they r in armor and tiberium resistence etc, it can heal units faster than a war fac, corruptors can heal themselvs, they do well against buildings, Takes out tanks lower price than it (but u won't c corruptor spam, will u?)
Cons:Takes out multiple infantry squads slower than flame tank, it can heal one unit at a time, but, it still is mobile, slower than flame tank, viseroids r uncontrollable, and weak, slower promotion time

I think that in number, corruptors will win, if microed carefully, but in rushing, flame tanks will win.... unless microed perfectly.... so cast opinions... and votes

Edit:******, Daishi wanted me to put grenadier apcs on here.. I forgot when I was so into typing the two different unit discriptions... o well... I didn't think they counted as close range, but they do clear buildings, and grenades barely hit infantry.... o well, and now that I look at it again, y the heck does corruptors have an indent? its funny but.... I didn't want it funny....

Will win in what? If its overall usefulness, its flame tanks hands down, so thats what I voted for. If its anti-infantry capabilities, you're using the wrong units.

Flame Tank. Because you can cloak them, and because they're so unforgivably dangerous.

*woof* The sound of a cat set on fire.

All of the below reasons + I like how they look...somehow. Although I loke the big beetlelike shape of the first C&C more. (guess that's taken by another Scrin unit)

Overall all of course... but I also think that for the weapon similiarity and the cost difference (however difference...), one seems to own over the other... but I think, that maybe it is time to implimate a new rush, with some micro, a corruptor rush, it would go faster than than the nod flamer rush, and ud get out two corruptors pretty fast, and one can heal the other, switch, enemy is damaged.. pump out more of them, its armor difference is small, but it does have heavier armor than the flame tank, but I know that one downside is infantry.... but u have to expect these things, a few rocket men with micro can own a flame tank b4 it and its buddy get them all, but two corruptors, one gets the infantry and the other one will heal itself... but stilll, for the poll, the answer is, Overall better....

Corrupter rush would do nothing. It does virtually no damage to structures and vehicles.

that isn't true, their weapons are affective against the early units in tank standard, and healing themselves is an advantage, and u obviously can't make anyone believe that they don't do anything to buildings... u obviously haven't seen what they can do... I would have to rush to know all the facts, but I do know that they can do sizable damage to structures...

Flame tanks, they just bring Nod some oportunities to defeat the other factions in early mid game, curious, dont you think? this units isnt for hit and run, gives massive continue damage and is very well armored, not really too nod, dont you think so?

Flame Tanks, mainly because I think they dish out much more damage in the long run and have a nice firey effect to boot.

Corruptor seems to go down too quickly, and even though mutating infantry into visceroids is cool, those visceroids don't do jack.

I just love fire more than tiberium-based goo. My heritage as a thermophile in Conker: Live & Reloaded only furthers this.

I choose Flame Tanks. They are very powerful indeed.

Perhaps the best way to improve the corruptor would be to make it behave like the Toxin Tractor from Generals in that the bile they shoot out would linger momentarily and cause damage to hostiles, yet heal any allied units near by. That way, the corruptor would be somewhat practical and not require a large amount of micro in order to heal a group.
