I have just thought: I have really wanted to make a Yuri campaign for some time now, and I have even progressed a little in it, but I have no idea how to make it a playable campaign that I can select in the same way that you can with teh allies or soviets. Can anyone help me? Should I just replace either the allied or soviet campaign with the Yuri one or go to the extent of making it it's own deal?

You need the RP/NP for this to work properly. YR doesn't have a tutorial campaign and the patch re-enables it to be used for mission progression.

or be lazyand just overide the allied missions or soviet missions with how you name the maps (it's what I would do)....though you couldn't have loading screen scenerios or anything. So if you were trying to make something complex yea youde need to get into more detail....overideing would be good just for testing the missions though before you did the complicated stuff.

You could have loading screens. You'd just have to replace them.

I'm actually gonna do the NP since I need that patch for various reasons anyway. If I was to make my own loading screens (assuming this is for the "tutorial" campaign), what would I name them?
And as for the Icon in the campaign selector (ya know, the hammer and sickle, the allie's eagle thing, and the crossed guns with the hat for the training campaign), how would i edit that?

More NP stuff I think.
The campaign selectors should be in the mix files somewhere.

So does that answer my first question or my second?

I think I should point out that if you want to make a good campaign (from what I have heard, and my experience in creating random missions for RA1), it will probably take at least several months, probably longer.

Oh yeah... a campaign will be a good six months or better. Even longer still if you do 3 new ones.

I know that. I have been working on it for awhile. My entire mod is based around a new campaign. Prolly only gonna be like 7 missions long tho. I got almost all the allied ones done anyway and the soviet ones are going to be similar. Still don't know what I am going to do with yuri.....
*EDIT* Ugh. stupid NPs crashing my YR.

You should read ModEnc's (http://modenc.renegadeprojects.com/Campaign_Progression) information on how campaigns work and what you need to do to make a thirdside based campaign playable. I've done a lot of research into how this is achieved and created assets such as the select button for Yuri for my own mod.
