All is peaceful and quiet in the land of da Lion with the exception of the small creek that runs through my backyard. With three days of rain, it's now turned into a small river. Last week the neighbor's cats crossed over the creek on the exposed rocks. Now they have to go around and cross via the bridge to get to my front porch. But high water isn't gonna stop them from their daily pilgrimage to Lion's Kitchen. I estimate about a half dozen cats visit me daily and dine on the fine cuisine I offer up to them. We do get the occasional Possum and Skunk as well, but all are welcomed to come and chow down. On the menu for this week is Friskies Filet Minion flavored dry cat food and Friskies Chicken & Salmon Shredded canned food. They can wash it all down with a bowl of milk. My dream job would be to run a huge cat sanctuary. I do sometimes have to wonder if perhaps I may have been a cat in a previous life. Well, I guess not since I really don't believe in that kind of thing. But IF I did, I'm sure I would have been a cat. :chin:

Who knows maybe you are already, :chin: your eyes are watering over the Filet Minion and then you are dreaming about the second course Shredded Salmon. Yum...Yum.... Chased this all down with a glass of wine...I mean milk. Next thing you know you will curled up in a corner sleeping the day away.

Humm, I might be able to sell you one CHEAP! ;)

Guess who's living your dream, buddy? But I won't spoil your rosy vision with the gritty details of our daily grind. It IS a worthy dream to ease the pain of our feline friends and you've been kind to yours. :D

But if people don't start spaying and neutering their pets there will be no end to the suffering of unwanted kittens and puppies.:flame::mad:

We just came close to getting a law passed here in California requiring it and expect it to succeed next year. :)

Yea, that spaying and neutering is a big problem around my neighborhood. Peeps get a cat, find out it takes a little work and costs a little money to take care of it, then abandon it. Cat makes more cats. All of my indoor cats are fixed of course. The outside cats that come around for dinner are a tad wild, and I'm sure not fixed.

Hey, Lion, did you change the look of the top part of the front page somewhat? I got the odd feeling that something is a little off up there...:chin:
