I'm currently downloading the new sdk mod.. but I'm curious as to is it this proggy or another that is to be used to custom modify unit details like strength + armor etc
Also, does anyone know what Tibed is going to do?

Also, does anyone know what Tibed is going to do? First, the SDK isn't a mod, it's the Software Development Kit (this isn't the first time I've said this). Second, if you want to mod just about anything about the game, with precious few exception, you have to use the SDK to do it. If the SDK cannot do it, then the odds are that it cannot be done.
As for Tibed, they do not currently support C&C3 and, although they may release a version C&C3-compatible version in the future, they have not done so yet so Tibedit will probably not work.

Well, this isn't what I expected. For moddellers the job might have become easier I guess. I tried to replace the music ingame, I failed seeing a clear hint where to start.
You need to edit XML lines, and the only ones i'm seeing is in the included sample mod.
They don't mention where to get the names or the required XML files from when you want to edit (add or replace) ingame songs. As such, i'm not even starting to mess unless someone brings out a tutorial how to do this step by step.
The only thing it easier for me (in my eyes) is the compiling when I edited the files. (like I said 3D guys will have the most help with this SDK)
Why do I think the old ways are better and easier? (editing big files) Update: I have just found all the *.xml files. What to do with them (especially the Music_ModKitTest.xml).
Ok, but now I see they have 3 kinds of "playlists". Blue, yellow, Red. Used to be so easy, just putting your songs in directory and editing some music.ini lines.
Oh well, let the tutorials come! :|

I do hope that they will make tutorials... I mean, all i wanna do is edit the current units! Not actually add more/or like create my own modified mod version. I'm currently asking tibed what they are going to do, but so far the reply is its a big job to get around the xml stuff. But if tibed was ready now, that would be lovely :) A few clicks an done!

The xml stuff is something I didn't want to hear. lol
Oh well, time will tell I guess... :)
Although if you have to go trough all that trouble to create a mod, then alot of the current mods will be ready by the time C&C3 is dust almost... -Looks at Generals mods- meh, not interrested anymore. Get my point?

I actually thought at first that it would make it easier for tibed 'cause they just have to extract the xml files & slot them into the main game for editing.. its pretty much the same thing they like did with the rest of the series, just in that case, .ini files..
But yeah.. I didn't even know about generals mods until few weeks back an & didn't even bother looking at them heh
